Please Bring Your Crazy Ideas... - 02/19/11 10:55 PM
It’s less than 2 weeks now until RE BarCamp Seattle. As of this morning there are 632 RSVPs for RE Barcamp Seattle 2011.

The #rebcsea planning committee is super busy getting all the last minute details in order. After much deliberation and conversation, it was decided to forgo the BLING… This year we’re supporting Solid Ground. Our community at large needs food more than we need another coffee mug or t-shirt.

Many thanks to our sponsors. These generous vendors are what keep RE Barcamps Free. This year we have a large area set aside for display and will host a special “Sponsor … (8 comments)

Squalling over Lake Union - 02/16/11 06:02 PM
We're having some dramatic weather in Seattle today. I noticed the light change coming through the office windows and looked out to see this squall moving north over the lake. I was surprised when I looked at the photo that it appears to be in black and white. It was taken in color yet the low clouds and shadows have muted everything. Can you see the Space Needle hiding in the mist?

Lightning and thunder erupted as this little storm front ran into Capitol Hill just behind me.

San Francisco Sunset - 02/14/11 12:42 AM
I was in San Francisco in early September 2005 for a managers meeting. Wow, were those different times. I spent a couple of days there. One afternoon some of my coworkers and I spent the afternoon down at Fisherman's Wharf. Just before we caught the trolley to head back to the hotel I took this one last photo as the sun was setting. I was going to use it for the KODAK Moment contest but decided not to at the last minute. It's remains one of my favorite images of the waterfront.

When Frank Herbert became famous after Dune, he continued writing the series from his home in Port Townsend. He divided his time between here and his home in Hawaii. One of my favorite stories is one of his lesser … (10 comments)

Coach Charlie - 02/07/11 11:32 PM
It struck me yesterday morning while I was having my coffee on the deck just how far I’ve come with my training. It’s been a long and sometimes arduous journey. I freely admit to having moments when I just wanted to pack it in and bail.
Yet, sitting here today with a lot of it behind me, I'll give myself a little credit. I've made some progress.
You see, I’m working with Coach Charlie, one of the most amazing experts of human behavior I’ve ever encountered. His training is based on a profound understanding of a very simple premise: "With a … (11 comments)
