bvi: Life's a reach and then you Jibe. - 06/01/14 06:46 AM
I almost missed the adventure of a lifetime!  I was invited to go sailing in the British Virgin Islands (the BVI) back in 2006. I really wanted to, but I was so steeped in new corporate responsibilities I almost decided not to go.
Fortunately for me, I wised up. Like duh!, “It’s the adventure of a lifetime!  Just when do you think another opportunity like this will ever show up again?" bvi: One of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen. - 09/16/12 06:43 AM
One of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen. In late May of 2006 I went on a wonderful trip to the BVI (the British Virgin Islands). It changed my life. We were about 9 days on a 37 foot sailboat cruising from island to island however we decided, on a whim. I’ve never had a greater time.

bvi: BVI Sunset - warm thoughts on a cold wet afternoon - 01/17/11 10:35 AM

I was day dreaming earlier, "Wouldn't be nice to be back on that sailboat in the British Virgin Islands again." It's been cold, windy and rainy all weekend and several rivers around these parts are flooding and/or close to it. click the image for full size version on my Picasa web album

Some of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen were here in the BVI. I think much of it is the sky is so big and you can see for miles and miles until it disappears over the horzion.

I don't mind, I was born here. To me, it's just weather. When it's dark and stormy and raining sideways, it's so nice to be warm and cozy … (13 comments)
