Agents Left Out in the Cold Part II - 10/30/08 12:37 AM
The other day I posted on my blog a story about AllPro Realty Group closing it's doors and leaving 600+ agents high and dry. Today there was a news story continuing coverage on others that have been affected. There is another brokerage here in Utah named All Pro Real Estate. They have been in business alot longer than the AllPro Realty Group that went out of business. Now they are doing everything they can to let their customer base know that they are still in business. If you notice the difference in the way they are written. All Pro with a

Agents Left Out in the Cold? - 10/28/08 12:16 AM
The latest news in Utah Real Estate is the closing of All Pro Realty. It sounds like may agents heard it first on the news. Over time I had heard that things weren't in very good shape at All Pro even as long as a year ago. They closed down several branch offices, yet the news reported yesterday there were 600+ agents still with All Pro. What a mess. Agents on television talking about the commissions they are waiting for. Then there are all of the listings that were active begore this all happened. I'm feeling bad for so many who

Cell Phone Providers Make Me Crazy! Especially T-Mobile - 10/24/08 12:09 AM
Does any one out there really like thier cell phone provider? I was screwed over by T-Mobile again today. I bought a new phone and gave the other one to my son to use but I kept the sim card with my phone number on it and put it in my new Blackberry. I called them to make sure that I could just switch sim cards from my old phone to my new one. They told me that was perfectly OK. They never mentioned that I needed to activate it in the new phone first. There was a $100 rebate available

Is it just me or have the pollsters gone nuts! I believe today I had at least 6 different organizations call for my opinion. Did I get on some list? Call off the dogs. Yes I have an opinion and I will share it when I am darn good and ready.

Taylorsville City Hall - 10/21/08 09:38 PM
Taylorsville city hall was opened in April 30, 2003. There was certainly much opposition as to what kind of building woould be built and what purposes it would serve. Mayor Janice Auger worked tirelessly to get it built. The following departments are housed at least in part here: Administration & Finance Community Development Justice Court Police Economic Development

Archibald's Restaraunt - Gardner Village - 10/20/08 11:18 PM
Situated in Gardner Historic Village, West Jordan, Utah are many country stores, art stores, galleries, Sweet Afton's Candies, (try the fudge) clothing shops, toy stores, and right out front in the old mill is Archibald's Restaraunt. Archibald's has something for most everyone. My favorite is the "Early Bird Special" For early seating you can order either Prime Rib or Monterey Chicken. Included with the special is warm fresh bread, soup or salad, a soft drink, your choice of potatoes, (baked, french fried, or even mashed with gravy) or rice. and a generous slice of carrot cake for dessert. They serve many

Real Estate Agents- Positive campaigns - 10/19/08 01:14 AM
It has been a long political season. I have heard alot of bashing, negative campaigns, frankly I'm tired of so much that I have been hearing. At least the last few days I have seen a couple of positive ads. Thank you to you my fellow real estate professionals for taking the high road. I see many positive campaigns among the people I meet with in the real estate industry. I feel as a whole that the industry works very hard to take care of the needs of our clients. I don't see negativity in our advertising campaigns. We don't slam

Harvard Yale - 10/17/08 01:56 AM
Harvard Yale is a great neighborhood in Salt Lake City, Utah. Beautiful tree lined streets, most of the trees are huge. There are beautiful homes throughout the ares. Several streams and canyons run through the area and add to the diversity and pleasures of the area. Many homes back the canyons created by Red Butte creek, and Emigration creek. Many of the roads wind their way through the neighborhoods and the area's between 1100 East and 1500 East have rather steep inclines. I remember as a child the men on the street closed off the street I lived on to allow us

Blackberry, Mobile phones, Laptops, iphones - 10/08/08 11:46 PM
In this day and age of real estate on the internet What electronics are helping you stay in touch with your clients when you are away from the office. Is there any one unit that helps you do everything you need to to keep in touch? It seems like our clients want instant responses as much as possible. I have been trying several different things over the past year. I am wondering if you have found something that works. I am fairly pleased with my Blackberry Curve. The internet speed isn't so great but works in a pinch. And many sites

Doom & Gloom? or Opportunity! - 10/07/08 06:46 PM
Paul stated this very well. The prices he talks about need to be adjusted for our area a little but the psector of the markets woud be the same. Thanks Paul Via Paul Cutajar: Doom and Gloom or Opportunity. They say there is money to be made in any market. The following comments are strickly mine and mine alone, however I invite your comments, concerns or response. We have had it good. Fancy cars, fancy houses, low gas prices, high priced fast selling properties. It used to be you could put a house on the market - any condition - and it
