The Sensei/Grasshopper Challenge officially ended last night. Over 50 members participated, and their collaborations produced some excellent results. A lot of topics were covered, critical knowledge was shared, many new friends were made, and there will surely be some significant benefits arising from better blogging. Sensei/Grasshopper was based on one of the most important characteristics of ActiveRain - the willingness of the members to engage with each other and to provide help and assistance to others whenever called on. That is on full display in the posts to the group, and I'd urge you to take some time and (26 comments)
My friend and associate Mike Sibbald joined ActiveRain a couple of days ago, and I'm excited that he's here. I've known Mike for 5 years now, and I'm convinced that he'll bring the same sterling qualities to AR that he displays every day here at the office. Mike has been involved with real estate his entire life. His father was a builder in the Vail valley and he spent his early years working on job sites. After studying construction supervision at Western State College and Front Range College, he joined his family business and worked in property management and construction (12 comments)
If high energy, commitment and enthusiasm are indicators of success in real estate and ActiveRain, then Jimmy Phan is going to be a winner. Jimmy joined ActiveRain on December 21, 2011, and he is working very hard to learn the ropes, figure out how all the pieces here fit together, and make connections and friends. In under one month, he has accomplished a lot here - he has almost 30,000 points, he's written a ton of posts, and he is busy signing up for webinars and checking out video tutorials at ActiveRain U. Jimmy has an amazing background. He came (10 comments)

Three of my favorite real estate people are ActiveRain newbies, and I'm grateful for this opportunity to introduce them to you. Chris Hardy Chris Hardy was my managing broker here at Coldwell Banker for the last 5 years. A few weeks ago, he made the decision to leave the dark side, and is joining his wife Pat in the trenches of real estate sales. Chris has an amazing array of talents - vision, intelligence, management skills and a very solid grounding in ethics. He has become a first-class trainer and coach, with a keen grasp of technology and social media. He's (10 comments)
newbies: I Came Here For The SEO, But.... - 06/18/11 01:22 PM
When the folks who are helping us with our Internet presence told me I needed to start blogging, it wasn't good news. "Do I absolutely have to do that?", I asked. "No, but if you don't, you're probably going to be wasting the money you're spending on us.", they said. "Oh, okay, if I really, really, have to." I was definitely not excited about this. They suggested a half-dozen different ways I could start, and I came to AR first because the weird name made me curious. It looked like an interesting place, and there was that $1/month start-up offer, so I (9 comments)
