rhode island real estate: A Day In New England - 01/02/11 05:34 PM
I was out driving around just the other morning and the sun was shining and the sky was really blue. For December in Rhode Island this is a really good thing, no snow in the forecast, just pure sunshine. I saw this home all decorated for the Holidays and the left over snow just made a great photo. I also thought what great curb appeal this home has to offer, something about it just made it stand out and say, hey, look at me. The peacefulness of the nearby brook just set the stage.

rhode island real estate: "Great Recession' over, Research Group Says - 09/20/10 04:38 PM
'Great Recession’ over, research group says Downturn lasted 18 months; longest recession since World War II “Great Recession” has ended, officially. At least, that's the word from the private, nonprofit research organization that calls the beginnings and endings of recessions, the National Bureau of Economic Research. The NBER said Monday that the recession which began in December 2007 ended in June 2009, which marked the beginning of an expansion. The announcement rules out the possibility of a so-called “double-dip” recession, because any new downturn would be seen as a brand new recession. Story: Obama: Much more work needed (4 comments)

Nobody likes someone who is an ego-maniac. A lot of real estate agents get a bad rap, because some agents think that to build a great personal brand, they need to talk about how great they are. This is very off-putting for many people -- especially your Gen X and Gen Y clients who are slow to trust and quick to judge anyone who calls themselves an "expert." Personal branding -- the art of packaging and presenting yourself -- has become vital to both career and business development, especially as a real estate agent. Here are five simple strategies (5 comments)
