The average days on market were 75 days from listing to actual sale. The median home price was $151,689. There were only two recorded condominium sales for the same time period. A new $20 million dollar shopping center is being planned on Industrial Blvd next to the new Colonial Town Park shopping center in Smyrna. Centrum SSI of Nashville has purchased 21 acres on Industrial Blvd in LaVergne for the proposed Shoppes of LaVergne. The Shoppes of LaVergne is the proposed name but the name may change. Nissan North America in Smyrna, TN will build a midsize Suzuki truck. The truck will be based on the Nissan Frontier truck and production will begin in 2008. There are currently no plans to add workers to the Smyrna plant to facilitate the Suzuki production. This is the first time that a non-Nissan product will be built at a Nissan factory in the U.S. The Smyrna Nissan plant also builds the Altima, Xterra, Pathfinder, and the Maxima.

The Smyrna TN Planning Commission has approved site plans for a Red Robin Gourmet Burgers restaurant. Red Robin will be located next to Famous Dave's on Industrial Blvd. The company spokesperson had no opening date for the restaurant. Site plans were also approved for a 109-room Residence Inn to be located next to Kohl's in the Colonial Village Shopping Center.
