hgtv: Sold in 24 hrs! - 04/05/09 09:17 PM
My company, Glastonbury Home Staging was hired to stage an owner occupied home for a family located in South Windsor, CT , that was relocating. I met with them in early January and discussed my recommendations. They had watched all the shows on HGTV and knew they needed help and were prepared and open to working to get their house ready for sale. They replaced all carpeting, painted the whole interior of the house, added hardwood floors, replaced windows, changed out hardware, changed light fixtures and replaced all kitchen appliances with stainless steel. It's designed to sell furniture and give you an idea of what you might have in your house, but you shouldn't be matching the look that closely. Make it eclectic, not like a showroom you can't live in. You want to look from one wall to the other and be able to see something different. Lack
