Sometimes transforming a room is as simple as adding a coat of paint $50, Replacing the lighting $50 and decluttering $0. You don't need a ton of artwork, accessories and distractions. Staging is about showcasing the space, the floors, windows and architectural details. In the after pictures below the space is the star.

Sometimes home staging is just a matter of rearranging the furniture to make the space appear larger and more aesthetically pleasing.  Rockland Home Staging recently did a consultation with the owner of a one bedroom condo. The unit was overpowered by the large entertainment center and bulky furniture. We had a budget of $0 for this project.  I was called in to to a consultation and the homeowners did all the heavy lifting! Here are the results.

When putting our Rockland County NY home on the market for sale it is important to get rid of anything that is going to date the home, even though these design choices were all the rage at one time.  Sometimes the things that were so expensive to install at the time are the exact things that date a home and mirrored walls are definitely out, especially smoked mirror.

There is one particular real estate office in Rockland County NY that I work with frequently.  The have affectionately labeled me "THE HEAVY".  They call me when there is a particular issue with a home that they feel uncomfortable talking about.  Or they don't think the owners will be receptive to their suggestions for whatever reason.  
Real estate is not all, new jobs, new babies and marriages.  There is a much darker side to the industry that they don't mention in the glossy brochures with smiling homeowners shaking hands with their Realtors.  The relationship between Realtor and Homeowner can be filled … (50 comments)

Well it has been about one month since I set out on my chocolate house marketing adventure so I thought I would tell you how it went.  Allthgether I visited 15 real estate offices in  Rockland County in one week period.  The response was overwhelmingly positive.  I met the nicest people in my travels.  Realtors and office managers loved the chocolates and invited me in to meet the Realtors and discuss homes staging.  
I went to each office in Rockland from Piermont to Pomona and everywhere in between. I had a specific purpose in mind for each visit.

I might also have entitled this: Stager heal thyself.
