The Prize at the Bottom of the Box - 11/30/07 11:03 PM
The true reward in our business is not in the commission checks or in the flexible schedule we're allowed, but rather in the friends we make along the way and the things we're able to do to help those friends. A few months ago, I received a call from a homeowner (Chris) in need of some help selling his home in Cheyenne Crossing. He had been transferred out of state several months earlier and was frustrated with the lack of results from his 2 previous REALTORS. After having his beautiful, practically new home on the market for over a year (in a (8 comments)
OKC/Edmond Real Estate Statistics for October 2007 - 11/30/07 09:58 PM
I post up the Oklahoma City and Edmond Real Estate Statistics every month, and every month so far I've had some very positive information to share. This month is no different. In fact, we saw a slight increase in activity in October over September. A few months ago, that wouldn't have been anything to point out, because it was the norm, but the past few months we have experienced a minor slow-down; some of it due to a slowing market and some simply due to the time of year. The following chart shows the monthly Oklahoma City Metropolitan Real Estate statistics for October 2007 (0 comments)
OKC/Edmond Real Estate Statistics for September 2007 - 11/13/07 09:33 AM
I've reported month after month on the condition of the Real Estate market in Edmond, Oklahoma and the overall OKC metro area, and fortunately, I still have positive numbers to share, in spite of a slowing market. For the third month in a row I have some slightly declining numbers, yet positive factors in light of a struggling national real estate market. The following chart shows the monthly Oklahoma City Metropolitan Real Estate statistics for September 2007 as compared to August 2007 and September 2006. As you can see, the total transactions closed is lower than this time last year, and the average price has come down since (2 comments)
Cedar Pointe Activity Report, October 2007 - 11/08/07 07:53 AM
Being a highly sought-after neighborhood, we always see good activity here in Cedar Pointe, and October was no exception. As of this morning, we have 11 active and 6 pending listings. The average list price of the active listings is $200,008, or $96.72 per square foot. One Cedar Pointe home closed in October, at 2021 Fair Meadow Lane. It sold (88 days on the market) for $164,900, which equals anywhere from $87.71 to $92.02 per square foot, depending on which square-footage source you trust (county courthouse or appraisal). Being so active in the community allows me a lot of knowledge of the area. I was (0 comments)
Oklahoma City Real Estate Gets Validation In The Media - 11/07/07 09:39 PM
Well, it's been a crazy past few weeks, and unfortunately our blog has suffered as a result (as evenidenced by my incomplete series, Oh, the Places I'll Go). However, our listings are selling (36 day average) and our buyers are buying. My online absence was a direct result of October being the biggest month I've had in a long time, which brings me to my point. The gloom & doom stories that you'll find running rampant in the media can easily scare some folks out of buying or selling real estate. While many markets nationally are suffering, or even declining, Edmond real estate keeps chugging along (6 comments)
