edmond public schools: Edmond's Principal For A Day Program Kicks Off - 10/03/07 10:13 PM
I recently heard rumor that Edmond Public Schools Foundation was starting a new program to give local business owners and leaders a taste of what it's like to run one of Edmond's Public Schools. The program, called Principal For a Day, is designed to show local business owners what the vision for the local schools is and what they need most to achieve those goals, in hopes of garnering more support. What a wonderful idea, right? I say they've earned an A with this one.

As we all know, information is king when it comes to choosing a home, so I generally try to include as much information as possible when we list a home... lists of schools, nearby restaurants, neighborhood amenities, city attractions, and statistics are just a few of the things I try to include in my blog posts. I love including local information, because I know it's what people are looking for when they begin their home search.

For months, there's been a lot of excitement swirling around Edmond, Oklahoma in anticipation of the new Centennial Elementary school. The addition of this school brings the total number of Edmond Public elementary schools to 16! See below for a complete list of Edmond elementary schools.

Once again, residents of Edmond have validation that Edmond Public Schools are amongst the best in the country. According to a May 24th article in the Edmond Sun, two Edmond high schools are in the top 5% of public schools nationally. Of course, we already know how blessed we are to have a great school system for our kids, and Edmond property values reflect that, but seeing two of our three high schools make Newsweek's "Top of the Class" list is very satisfying. My wife and I had the pleasure of attending a private party at our friends' Oakdale Farm home last night, at which Neil Bush was the guest of honor. You may recognize his name as the brother of our current US President, George W Bush, and son of our former US President, George HW Bush and Barabara Bush.
