OK, so I'm not as good at rhyming as Dr Seuss is (so I'm not going to embarrass myself by trying here), but I thought of that fun, inspirational book of his (Oh, the Places You'll Go) yesterday for some reason, when I was asked by another home owner how often I'm in her neighborhood. When I visit with home owners about listing their Edmond or NW OKC homes, asking how often I'm in their neighborhood seems to reassure them that I know the area and I stay on top of the market.

I just listed a gorgeous new home in Lone Oak Parke. We've been so busy listing that it's going to take a few days to get all the marketing pieces put together for our homes, but I don't want anyone to miss out on this one, so I'm posting a brief description here to get you buy until we have everything prepped.

I've never experimented with chasing expired listings before, but recently decided to give it a shot. Broker Bryant unselfishly sent me a copy of the letter he uses and I tailored it to fit. I've been faithfully sending this letter to the owners of EVERY home that expires in my area for about two weeks and got my first nibble on Monday morning. Of course I was excited to see some response from my efforts, yet somewhat reserved, having no experience with expireds and unsure of what I was up against.
