Leanne Paynter's series The Lazy Agent Series: Just The Facts, Ma'am has inspired me. You see, for some time now, I've been thinking that something needs to be done about the laziness so many agents display when it comes to their listings. Why is it that some agents work so hard to get listings, but put so little effort into actually marketing those homes they've listed? Isn't getting the listing actually one of the biggerchallenges we face?

professionalism: Overpriced Listings are the devil! - 05/09/07 06:32 PM

I've never experimented with chasing expired listings before, but recently decided to give it a shot. Broker Bryant unselfishly sent me a copy of the letter he uses and I tailored it to fit. I've been faithfully sending this letter to the owners of EVERY home that expires in my area for about two weeks and got my first nibble on Monday morning. Of course I was excited to see some response from my efforts, yet somewhat reserved, having no experience with expireds and unsure of what I was up against.
