crofton md: Crofton MD Armed Forces Day Parade - 05/20/12 04:44 AM
Crofton Parkway was crowded with residents and visitors yesterday for the Annual Armed Forces Day Parade. The weather could not have been more perfect for the mile and a half trip from Crofton Woods Elementary to Crofton Elementary School.Current military, and veterans were honored during the parade. Several local Crofton politicians came out to greet their constituents as well. The bands, as usual, were in perfect marching form.

For those of you who have wondered for quite some time what was going to replace Jasper's at the corner of Rt. 3 N and Rt. 450. That wait is over and Crofton, MD will see the opening of a new Mexican restaurant tomorrow.Poncho n Pepe's was the name selected in a local contest by the new owners of the restaurant and Tequila Bar.I'm looking at the menu and it looks like my first visit is going to have to include the Stuffed Jalapeno Pepper appetizer, the Black Bean soup and a Burrito Gordo.
