As of December 2008 active inventory was 7,708, a 17% decrease from December 2007. There were 737 closings in December 2008, relatively unchanged from December 2007. Months of Inventory decreased to 10.5, down from 12.5 in December 2007. Median price of sold homes was $168,000 for the month of December 2008, down 20% from December 2007. How to receive the $7500.00 First Time Home Buyers Tax Credit - 01/03/09 02:09 PM
For those home buyers who qualify or will be purchasing a home and qualify information on how to receive the tax credit can be obtained on the IRS web site. The link is below.
You must file form IRS #5405 with your tax return.  A copy can be found also on the IRS web site. 
If you do not file your own tax return be sure to mention this tax credit to your accountant or tax preparer.
