referrals: Passing Referrals in the Rain - The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly - 07/10/11 05:36 AM

Passing Referrals on ActiveRain
One of the primary benefits of my involvement here on ActiveRain has been developing an extensive network of referral partners across the country.
Let's face it, most of the time, when we refer our valued clients out, we do so rather blindly, not really 'knowing' the agent/broker on the other end to the extent that we should or would like to.
So how do you select the agents/brokers that you refer your precious clients to?
Perhaps if you're associated with a national franchise like RE/MAX or Keller Williams, you simply pull out your national directory, locate … (62 comments)

referrals: Referrals in the Rain - 12/18/10 04:16 AM
Okay, so maybe you're relatively new to ActiveRain. You're still trying to figure things out, and you're wondering whether it's really worth your while to invest the time and money to participate on this network.
For some of you, you may have the benefit of being affiliated with a national brokerage. Your 'brand' has brokerage offices all over the country, affording you a built-in referral network already in place.
For the rest of us, our brokerages may be limited to regional or even local coverage. We don't have the benefit of having locations and potential referral partners throughout the country.

referrals: "Congrats, TR & Arwen!" - 1st Time Home Buyers on the Kitsap Peninsula WA - 11/05/07 06:20 PM
There was great cause for celebration here last week on the Kitsap County Peninsula in scenic Washington State!
1st Time Home Buyers, TR & Arwen, closed on their home in Port Orchard!
This was one of the most fun and rewarding transactions I've had the privilege of being involved in for quite some time!
TR & Arwen came over from Hawaii, under orders courtesy of the U.S. Navy. TR just recently made Chief Petty Officer, so it's been a very eventful month for both of them!

referrals: "But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express!" - Blog Tips for Rain Drips - 10/16/07 12:37 PM
I came across something on our beloved network the other day that was a bit disconcerting.
Whenever I log onto ActiveRain, one of my regular habits is to access both the 'Referrals' and the 'Q&A' sections. Since I am only currently licensed in the State of Washington, I only respond to referrals and questions posted within my respective State.
Someone had left a question (I'm assuming that it was a 'consumer') regarding selling a property with mold issues.
Now I don't know about you, but here in the Pacific Northwest, mold issues can be pretty serious stuff, sometimes even life threatening. So it's not an issue … (58 comments)

referrals: Referrals for Kitsap County, Washington and Hood Canal - 08/31/06 02:21 PM
Everyone in our business knows the value of a good referral partner. When we pass one of our clients onto someone else, we want the assurance and complete confidence that we're entrusting them to someone who will work hard for them, represent their interests fully, and help to successfully achieve their goals.
If any of you ever has clients looking to relocate to the Seattle area, I would be honored to merit your trust and referral. While I specialize in residential properties on the Kitsap Peninsula, I do network with many equally qualified agents throughout Western Washington.
I look forward to being of service to you and your clients … (5 comments)
