Once again Hawaii gets to enjoy live professional entertainment, this time with Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reef Band performing at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. What a show it was! He played my two favorites "Brown-Eyed Girl" and "Margaritaville" with the latter saved until the end of the performance. Buffett was joined onstage by Hawaii ukulele phenomenon Jake Shimabukuro who added to the enjoyment of the local audience. The crowd included some parrotheads and lots of beach balls tossed around druing the performance. At the end, a couple of the beach balls morphed into whales that were tossed around … (5 comments)

Living in Hawaii is pretty wonderful but there are some limitations and one is the availability of professional entertainment. That's why it's big news that Jimmy Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band will be performing on Maui at the MACC center on Tuesday, February 24. Tichets went on sale Thursday but availabiity was limited to MACC supporters (I am one). Sales have now opened up to the general public.
