The winning entry was chosen from nearly 1,500 entries submitted from around the nation. The award was based on print quality, technical difficulty, and overall visual effect.
Other entries that won on the same level and in the same category as St. Marys Magazine included such noted publications as Forbes, Seventeen, and O Magazine.

Fernandina -St. Mary's Ferry Service Underway - 09/01/08 09:13 AM
Ferry service between downtown Fernandina and St. Mary's Georgia has recently been initiated. The ferry runs three days a week, Thursday- Saturday, and can be boarded at the Fernandina Harbor Marina on North Front street. It docks at the Pavilion Dock on Osborne Street in St. Mary's.
The trip to St Mary's takes approximately 60 minutes, and includes a narrated tour of the history and wildlife in the area. At $15/rd trip, the ferry will is a real bargain and should be a favorite for both Amelia Island tourists and for day-trippers from the greater Jacksonville area.
