ketners mill fair: Ketner's Mill Fair - 10/16/08 06:46 PM

This weekend is the Ketner's Mill Fair. It is a two day country arts fair that offers entertainment, fantastic southern cooking, and crafts. This year is the 32th event.
Ketner's Mill is on the Sequatchie River. The mill was built in 1882 by Alexander Ketner. He was the son of David Ketner who started the family's milling business at the original Ketner's mill site on the base of Suck Creek Mountain in 1824.
The new site Ketner's mill had the corn mill, a saw mill, and a wool carding mill. The corn meal mill continued full production until 1992. The family continues … (3 comments)
