buy: How is Buying a Home Like Running a Marathon? - 02/07/12 06:09 AM
How is Buying a Home Like Running a Marathon? Let us count the ways! It's amazing how two such diverse activities can follow a similiar cycle of emotions. Here's how we see it: When you first start your home search or your marathon, you experience a sense of excitement Next, you're working toward your goal (finding the right home or finishing your race) - setting your pace Somewhere along the way, you start to feel restless Then you begin to doubt that your goal is achievable Your mindset changes and hope begins to shine through again Finally, success is in sight Lastly, you cross the finish

Flagpole in Newtown, CT Newtown, CT and its flagpole go hand in hand. One question that people commonly ask: "Why does Newtown have a flagpole in the middle of the road?" Well here is a little history on the flagpole in Newtown, CT. It was written by Dan Cruson, the Town Historian, and I located this article in The Rooster's Crow, a newsletter printed 5 times per year by the Newtown Historical Society. buy: Newtown, CT Labor Day Parade - 2009 - 09/13/09 12:26 PM
Newtown, CT Labor Day Parade - 2009 was really fun and shows you what Life in Newtown is all about! As in past years, the town resident participation was phenomenal! The variety of parade marchers spread the gamut of politicians, including Governor Jodi Rell, to school bands, Miss Connecticut and the Shriner's in their little red cars. Many spectators brought along their dogs (Riley, the Real Estate Dog, was in attendance until the Civil War re-enactment people shot off their rifles and then he had to hide in the car.) We hope that you've enjoyed looking at these photos. Perhaps, next year, we'll

buy: New Year's Resolutions & the Spring Real Estate Market - 12/06/08 01:20 PM
Every year, prospective buyers and sellers ask us "When does the Spring real estate market begin?". Our answer is always January 2nd! The term "Spring market" is a complete misnomer - a name that doesn't convey its true meaning. According to my calendar, Spring begins in March; however, the real estate "Spring market" begins in January. Many sellers contact a Realtor in January about listing their home for sale in the "Spring". When we meet with them, we always ask them why do they want to wait to put their home on the market. 9 times out of 10, they respond "for the Spring market", because
