I recently had a client who did the following. She has been successfully farming an area for many years so the result she got was not from a one time shot. 
She just sent out 3,000 Buffalo Bills (the football team) schedules to her farm areas.  She immediately got three calls for listing appointments. 
By the way at the beginning of the summer she sent two bookmarks with a note that said, "Most new books are forgotten within a year, especially by those who borrow them!"  This was followed by a wish to enjoy the summer and find the time to relax. … (7 comments)

Interesting comment from a long time REALTOR® friend, he said, "Rich, a good friend and client referred me to his daughter.  I have sold homes to them and their other children.  I called the daughter on the phone, sent her a bunch of listings and put her on automatic e-mails.  She called me a few days later to say that she was going to make an offer on a home she saw and her dad told her to call me first.  I almost lost the sale.  The Internet seems to lead to more disloyalty."
