Now, I am including myself in this blog post. I am not old but I am not young either. I wear reading glasses and can't see to read without them. I get frustrated when advertising is printed too tiny for me to read. I believe most folks feel the same way.
I do lots of advertising whether on the internet or in print. In our area, print media is still a viable option. We are different from some places but real estate magazines and newspaper ads still attract buyers in the Texas Hill Country. Maybe it is because we have (18 comments)
Agency, Do You Really Understand It? - 07/30/10 09:55 PM
AGENCY is a topic I want my agents to understand fully. No gaps in this education is allowed. Agency is where so many Realtors (R) get into trouble. In Texas, we have the IBS form ( Information About Brokerage Services). This should be given to each and every potential buyer and seller. It states who we represent and this is the beginning of explaining agency. Of course, people want to be represented. That is why they came to you. We have the answers they want and need. We must inform them how agency works. If they want representation, they must sign (9 comments)
What Does It Mean to be a Team Member? - 07/28/10 09:37 PM
REAL ESTATE IS A TEAM SPORT real estate is a team sport Real Estate is a Team Sport I grew up playing basketball in school. I was a post forward most of the time during junior high and high school. I learned at an early age even in grade school what it meant to be a team member. I think sports played a big part in my life and is helping me even today in my business because I learned this valuable lesson. Maybe one reason some people excel in business is because they have learned valuable lessons from Team Sports. (29 comments)
Take Time Off to Refuel, Rejuvenate and Rediscover - 07/24/10 11:40 AM
It's Saturday and I'm taking it off! Yay! Hooray! Good for me! Wow! Stupendous! Yes, my friend Robin Rogers and I know what too many "WORKENDS" mean. It means you don't have time for yourself. It means you don't have time for family and friends. It means you don't have time to unwind, to rest your body or your mind. It means you cannot be as productive come Monday morning. It means you will burn out in the real estate profession. It means you will become overly sensitive. It means you will lose patience with clients, customers, and loved ones. It (10 comments)
I Have Buyers Waiting for the Perfect Property - 07/22/10 11:08 PM
I have buyers waiting for the perfect property to come on the market. Many people have heard stories about the economy being slow in some areas but I do have buyers waiting for properties to come on the market. This is so exciting! It has been a buyer's market for a long time now but we are seeing an increase in sales recently and some of the people that have been waiting are now ready to buy. If you have a property you want to sell, put it on the market.
This time of year is the best selling (10 comments)
Is it OK to go to the office when you are not properly dressed? - 07/19/10 12:04 AM
I usually insist on my agents dressing properly, having their hair kempt, and looking like they are ready for business. However, there are times when one cannot be prepared as much as at other times. Such was the case with me today. I had on very casual clothes, had just taken a dip in the pool and ran to town to get something. As usual, my weekends are really workends. The phone rings and one of my agents is in a jam and needs my help. So, off I go to the office. If I had been sitting in the conference room (20 comments)

You never know what a day holds. The people you meet on a daily basis can change your life. I love meeting new people because I believe the above statements. I know every day I get up and go to work or wherever I am going that day, it can be a special day that will leave everything in my life changed forever. I have had some wonderful experiences in my life and I am sure you have also. Next time you feel low, remember, today may be the day you have been waiting for. Each day is (16 comments)
Happy 4th of July! - 07/03/10 09:34 AM
Hope you all have a great 4th of July. Be safe! Watch out for traffic when traveling on busy highways and watch those fingers when lighting fireworks. Watch the little ones. If near Kerrville on Sunday, come watch the fireworks display in Louise Hays Park at the Guadalupe River by the main bridge. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the bands in the afternoon or bring a picnic and play frisbee with your children. Visit with your neighbors, they will all be there. Go swimming in the river or bring your kayak. Horseshoes anyone, there are pits in the park. Face (5 comments)
