Change is never easy but it is almost unavoidable. When we first obtained our real estate license almost 14 years ago, there were 2 kinds of licensing. There was Sales Associate and Broker. In order to be a Broker, you had to be a licensed Sales Associate for at least 1 year. For those who do not understand the difference, in simple terms, with a Brokers License there was more schooling required and you could own or manage a real estate brokerage. Wow....It is hard to believe my mother, Karen Sterba-Carby opened up RE/MAX All Pro in Bloomingdale (Carol Stream), Illinois 20 years ago. I remember her lugging around the big real estate book with all the homes that were for sale. Getting new books every 2 weeks with updated listings.
