Top Tips from Top Realtors : Are you game? Or not? - 02/24/08 05:17 PM
So I'm curious about something. We've been tossing around the idea of interviewing some of the top realtors that we work with (and maybe a few we don't ;) around what has helped them get into the top 1% of realtors. Several of our clients are leading agents that regularly out perform the competition. We wondered if you'd be interested in hearing what they have to say on Selling Real Estate. If every month I could deliver ... let's say... 2 to 4 new high profile names that we will sit down and interview on camera and provide access to their brains, get into their (3 comments)
SEO Tool for Firefox : Research your competitors and dominate them - 02/24/08 12:01 PM
This is one of those little free tools that can make your life much easier. It`s a plugin for firefox that let`s you see all sorts of valuable data in your google search. So instead of simply getting the results of your search, you also get all sorts of extra data on your search. Things like: Alexa page rank, number of backlinks, search ranking on various other engines (MSN, Yahoo, etc...) It`s free, it`s good, I use it and if you want to have more insight into how competitive your keywords are, and how to beat the people above you in the search rankings (3 comments)
Learn SEO with Brad Callen | SEO Expert - 02/20/08 07:32 PM
I get a lot of work doing SEO and I have to say that up until about 3 years ago, I didn't really know much about SEO. It wasn't until I started to want to get my business to show up on google that I started to wonder how that all worked. Before I really knew anything, I bought this software - SEO Elite that really no kidding ... taught me the basics of everything I know. I have no reservations whatsoever in recommending Brad Callen's products. In addition to being excellent products, I've gotten updates regularly with 4 new versions. He has special interviews, (4 comments)
Make a Claim on Jyte : More SEO Expert Tips - 02/13/08 05:58 PM
How much would you pay for a link from a PR6 website? Let's head over to Text-Link-Ads and see how much a PR6 link costs? Around $200? So that's what this next tip is worth... $200.00. How would you like $200 worth of SEO advice for free? I won't even make you sign up for my mailing list or anything.
That's a statement that I just made on Jyte - check out their page rank, then use your own keywords to "make a claim" and watch that traffic funnel skyrocket up the google rankings. Just another back link to (4 comments)
Yahoo | Live - Grab your Keyword Subdomains for your SEO - 02/11/08 10:42 PM
>Most of the Yahoo properties have a page rank between a 6 and an 8. So when a buddy of mine inside yahoo told me they were beta testing their new community service, I was the first to grab a community with my keywords. In case you haven't got it yet, you want to be associated with a set of keywords all over the web. If you are trying to placewell for "Strathcona Real Estate" then go grab those words in any page title, any profile name, and any subdomain or folder structure that you can. SEO your site with a MySpace group, a Squidoo Page, (5 comments)
Outsource your webwork | Your time is better spent elsewhere - 02/11/08 01:11 PM
This is to all of you struggling along with a crappy looking site that has a bunch of "flair" or "chachkas" (as I call them) and looks like you made it back in the mid 80's (or at least the point2 template dates to back then, complete with tables). Of course I want you to set up a custom site on our AgentXL.com Real Estate Website Solutions. BUT, as we don't have templates yet for you, you may want to use our advanced CRM and Listings Manager - but want to get the actual "look" of your website done for a little less (2 comments)
SEO your site with SEARCHLES - 02/09/08 02:52 PM
OK, so if you've been reading my blog, you'll have started to link to your site using the tools that are out there like social media sites. Linking to your sites with social media can skyrocket your google ranking.
This is an interesting site, firstly because it lets you add links back to your site in a social bookmarking way. However, it goes a little deeper and combines referrals from friends and even a video editing / mashing application that let's you get really crazy with YouTube videos etc. Even if the extended features are not for you, this is another one (5 comments)
Article Marketing Secrets Revealed - 02/06/08 02:36 AM
File this one either under SEO or under Marketing, either way it's a tried and tested way to get your name out there, get links back to your website and get more traffic to your site. A very common way of getting backlinks to your site is by submitting to your articles to free article exchange sites. For those of you that don't know google "Free Articles" and you'll find a ton of sites that let you take articles and republish them on your site, as long as you leave the "resource bar" attached. The resource bar is the bottom bit (5 comments)
Branding with your Email Address | Little things that matter - 02/05/08 09:24 PM
I get emails from realtors (and other business people) that come from their ISP's address. Even though they have their own domain. This is a branding faux pas. Take the time to set up a personal email ( email@example.com ) it looks so much more professional than firstname.lastname@example.org or @comcast @telus ... it's just not pro. If you like their service and you want to keep using it to collect email fine. Set up a FORWARD ONLY in your email server or even at your domain registrar - most of them will let you set up forwards so you don't even need a (4 comments)
SEO your site with a WIDGET - 02/04/08 11:18 AM
Do you know what Widgets are? They're those little things that you put in your side bar. You may have seen them with news feeds, or "rate this" type content. They're handy ways to syndicate your content to other sites. Which of course creates link backs to your site, which of course raises your page rank, which in tern makes it a good SEO practice to get some widgets out there. Additionally, you'll find that the widget sites themselves are pretty popular, so just like you can with Social Bookmarking sites, you can use these widget building sites to get found, either directly, (10 comments)
Freshen Up Your Look for Better Results - 02/01/08 06:45 PM
OK, this is really not about improving your traffic or your SEO value. This post is really about having a professional look. While that includes more than just your logo, That really is the start of your branding. This week we went to a tradeshow and I saw just how much a Realtor can spend on branding. There were companies there that were charging thousands of dollars to give you a "look". Basically taking your name and picture, finding a nice color pallet that plays well with your target market and dolling you up with new cards, note paper, maybe graphics (6 comments)
