pan abode: Living in a Pan-Abode Home on the West Coast

My wife and I live in Cordova Bay in a Pan-Abode house built in 1962. We bought it in the summer of 2009. What is a Pan-Abode? It is a manufactured log home consisting of milled 4" x 6" Western Red Cedar timbers interconnected at the corners. Our homes receives various types of comments from family members and visitors. All are positive. No one has outright said they don't like it. A number of our guests have said that they thought Pan-Abodes are "dark".
