If you have never visited this city, you will be impressed with the natural beauty of this, the capital city of Briitish Columbia. Victoria is on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, so to get here it is either by boat or by air. We are a harbour city and, as such, a lot of our attractions are in the harbour area. Have you ever thought of taking up watercolor painting? A few years ago I took some lessons to learn how to spend my spare time creating works of art. The lessons were a little on the expensive side, but I thought at the time that it was money well spent. After all, I was doing something creative that for many years I have wanted to do, but never could find the time. Spring is in the Air in Victoria BC! Although it is not officially spring yet, Victoria is getting its usual signs of Spring! These photos were taken today.
Above is a clump of wild Cyclamen near a public pathway. See the Snowdrops against the fence post, as well?
A clump of daffodils along a boulevard brightens up residents' spirits.
And, of course, the rhododendron and heather--common garden plants in Victoria. The mild year-round climate in Victoria is what allows the many varieties of plants to grow so well in this city. Come and visit us anytime … (5 comments)
