I send this out to REO agents in Clintonville and Central Ohio to see if they are happy with the situation of out of town title companies closing the REO sales. I got a good response so I thought I would post this out to REO agents in active rain. When we close a home , it is a major hassle when a title company from out of town does all the paper work

What's your opinion???

Union Cemetary buys dead nursery to adds 2 acres north of Ackerman - 12/27/10 02:11 PM
Operators of Union Cemetery, between Ohio State University and Riverside Methodist Hospital, now have a bit more room for burying the dead. Records show the Union Cemetery Association this month bought the former Boulevard Gardens nursery at 3050 Olentangy River Rd for 1.3 million. The 1.9 acre property north of Ackermn Road served tree and shrub buisness from 1954 until it closed in 2008.
Union Cemetery dates to 1847, though a family member of Northwest Territory pioneer Balser Hess was buried there as early as 1806, according to the cemeter's website. The association was formed in 1878, nearl three decades after the … (0 comments)

Economic reporting disclosed last week suggest employers are laing off fewer workers, buisnesses are ordering more computers and appliances, and consumers are spending with more confidence. The latest data confirms that the economy is improving, even though too few jobs are being created to lower the 9.8 percent unemployment rate.
The number of eople seeking benefits edged down by 3,000 to a seasonally adjusted 420,000, the Labor Department said Thursday. That was the second drop in three weeks. Weelky unemployment application at around 425,000 signal modest job growth. But economists say applications would need to dip consistently to 375,000 or below … (4 comments)

Home-sales slide means no rebound in '10 in Central Ohio and Clintonville. - 12/23/10 01:33 PM
Any remaining homes for a central Ohio real-estate upsurge this year were dashed by figures released yesterday, showing a continued drop in sales. The number of homes sold in central Ohio fell 27.9 percent in November compared with a year ago, when the market was fueled by a federal home-buying tac incentive.
The figures, coupled with the number of homes now in contract, virtually ensure that central Ohio home sales will fall below the level of last year, which was the slowest year since 2000. Through November, 18,216 homes has been sold this year in central Ohio, compared with 18,771 during … (1 comments)

***Home construction up after 2 months of decline nationally*** - 12/20/10 04:07 PM
The amount of new construction homes has climbed up in November after almost 2 months of declines. Builders broke ground last month on a seasonally adjusted 555,000 units, a 3.9 percent rise from October, the Commerce Department reported Thursday.
Even with the gain, housing starts are merely 16 percent above the 477,000 unit trend from April 2009; the lowest point on records dating back to 1959. They are down 76 percent from their peak in January 2006, and 45 percent under the 1 million annual rate that analysis say is consistent with a healthy housing market.

===>Foreclosures thin ranks of underwater borrowers in Central Ohio and Clintonville<=== - 12/17/10 12:29 PM
The homeownership rate could fall below 60 percent if homeowners who are deeply underwater end up losing their homes, a new report from mortgage data aggregator CoreLogic suggests. Some 10.78 million homeowners were "underwater" during the 3Q, meaning they owned more on their mortgages that their homes were worth. About 22.5 percent of all homeowners with mortgages had negative equity.
That's a slight decline from the 10.97 million homeowners who CoreLogic estimates were underwater in the 2Q, but the improvement was driven primarily by foreclosures rather than rising home values. So far this year, the ranks of underwater homeowners have thinned … (1 comments)

===>Foreclosures made up 25 percent of U.S. home sales in 3Q<=== - 12/13/10 02:23 PM

Sales of non-forclosed properties fell 29 percent sequentially and nearly 31 pecent from last year.
