I was reviewing the deed transfers for 43224 and 43229 home in Columbus Ohio for August 25, 2020. Out of the 9 transfers in the 43224 zip code, 8 were foreclosures with home going to the bank. In the 43229 zip code, out of ten transfers, 9 went back to the bank. This does not bode well for the Northland area.

In Central Ohio and Clintonville, we have a newspaper called The Daily Reporter. Basically it lists deed transfers, sheriffs sales, filing of mortgage foreclosures actions evictions and other law suits.
I have read it religiously since 1982. Now is the scary part....
In some zip coses over 40% of all sales involve a bank! Either the bank bought it back at sheriffs sale or the bank sold it to a new buyer!

This is drastically effecting the ability of home owners in these zip codes to sell their homes for retail value . The zip codes hardest hit in Central Ohio … (5 comments)
