It seems like the entire nation had below normal temperatures in many places had recorded snow fall! In Central Ohio and Clintonville a record was set for the most snowfall recorded in February! This winter to date is the 4th snowiest winter on record.

The President just released his anticipated new health care plan in an 11th hour attempt to rally Democrats behind legislation that would expand coverage, tighten regulation of the insurnace industry and make the nation's medical system more efficient
The $950,000,000,000 ( that is billion) plan was released a few days before the health-care summit with congressional Democrats and Republicans.
To pay for this plan, the Medicare payroll tax on "wealthy" tax payers would be increased.
While the health care system does need to be examined, I wonder if $950,000,000,000 is really what it takes!!!

As we enter the day with 12 days of snow on the ground, the 25 plus inches on snow that has fallen in February 2010 is the 2nd most snow ever recorded for February. Only 1910 topped this month, but we still have 11 days left to beat it. Most schools opened up today or were on a two hours delay, but Clintonville students who attend Columbus Public schools got another snow day off!

New Territory for me. While I have done numerous short sales ( doing 4 right now) I need to help my seller with the lender on a deficiency balance. They have two loans, both with same lender. I am certain the lender will want something on the deficiency.
What do lenders ask for up front? A certain percentage? Do they look at the over all market, or just work off a pre set formula

Well, no matter how long I've been in business ( 30 + years) I always find out something new. Today was no exception
I went over to remove a Supra lock box. The home has no storm door , so the box is exposed to the elements. Central Oho has 12 inches of snow and today wind chills below zero! I can get the key out from the box, but when I tried to remove the box from the door using my shackle code. it didn't move at all.

Over 700 billions dollars for funds were released by the government in 2008 to help prevent a collapse of the US banking system. Some of that has been repaid. I just read the PNC is getting ready to repay their loan. Some of these funds were not released.
The president mentioned that perhaps 30 billion could be released to small community banks to encourage loans to small business.That may be a good idea.
Why not take the remaining funds and pay down the federal deficit? Or give a one time tax cut the the American worker.

These sellers had there home on-the market 3 times with three different agents with no results. I was able to get it sold pretty much at full price with only one day on the market. Some of it was due preparation and frankly some had to due with timing
9 months later the seller who moved out of state called me for a phone number of their local bank back here in Columbus. I took a little time and gave it to them and chatted some more. A few weeks later mailed hem their 2009 closing statement , which we do for … (4 comments)

This just happened last week to an associate of mine. He was meeting a past client at a vacant home. He arrived early and went aound to the back and saw the door was open. He waited for his client, who showed up with his son and a handy person. All went in together, only to find a man in the home with a knife. The man ran out and no once was hurt.
Be careful showing vacant home and don't go in alone!

A frest blanket of snow gives us approx 7 inches of snow over icy roads. Nearly every school system shut down in the area. Roads really were quiet this morning when I came to the office around 7;00 am
Another cold day with some more snow, then even colder over the weekend!
