What is APR or Annual Percentage Rate? 
After being a Colorado mortgage broker for over 15 years, I think I get asked this question on almost every loan I have ever done over that 15 years.  So it's a good question and one for which few have a truthful answer.
The Annual Percentage Rate is a calculated yearly rate of interest that includes certain costs paid to acquire the loan.  The calculated rate also assumes you hold the loan for the entire term and make all the payments according to schedule. Banks Get Supreme Court Help To Continue Running Over Consumers and Mortgage Brokers - 04/25/07 03:25 AM
Last week the Supreme Court ruled that bank subsidiaries can side-step state mortgage regulations including all the consumer protection laws state legislators put in place to constrain them in the first place!
This means any consumer protection laws a state enacts into law either now or in the future will NOT apply to your corner branch bank!
Does that strike you as odd??
