I don't know if this epidemic has hit the other parts of the country.

But stolen copper pipes has become a major problem here in our area.

I go to more and more inspections where the copper has been stolen from everything: the hot water heater, the copper water distribution pipes, the condenser unit and the air handler in the attic.

I personally don't know how much you can get for raw copper these days but this is just plain stupid to me.
