Dorchester Homes Sell With Maximum Exposure - 08/31/10 03:26 PM
As a Dorchester Real Estate Professional, I pride myself on providing my clients with the maximum exposure for their listings. The latest NAR (National Association Of Realtors) stats show that 90% of consumers use the Internet in their home search. As a result, the key to selling homes quickly is to make sure the property is viewed by the target market. To do this, it is essential that a listing broker use tools such as Vflyer, MLS, Activerain, Realtor.com and other listing syndication sites that enable the property to be shown on hundreds of sites throughout the Internet. If your property ispriced appropriately (0 comments)
Emily Rooney Clearly Has No Love For Dorchester - 08/27/10 09:41 AM
As I watched this interview last week, it became very clear to me that Emily Rooney's agenda did not include being objective about a topic she knows nothing about. The seven minute interview was her chance to perpetuate stereotypes about Dorchester. The show was supposed to be about why Dorchester is one of the hottest real estate markets in the City and turned into Emily Rooney's chance to publicly bash Dot (Short for Dorchester). During the interview she over talked Donna Latson Gittens and pushed her negative perception the whole time. The numbers make it clear that many buyers are purchasing (4 comments)
Although the year to date (YTD) Dorcheser inventory is slightly higher than last year, the Dorchester YTD Average sales price is up by 12% and the average days on market went from 122 days to 77 days, a drop of 37%. Furthermore, it appears that we may have already seen the bottom of the Dorchester market. If you are considering buying real estate and are uncertain of when (0 comments)

The One Hit Wonder - 08/07/10 02:09 PM
Earlier this week I conducted my first showing with a young couple that I a am working with. They requested a showing for a property that I sent them through MLS. The property was a two bedroom townhouse in the City and priced at a slightly under $200K. Upon entering the unit I could clearly see that it needed some minor updates and made some recommendations to my buyers. Upon further investigation it turns out (8 comments)
