In 2012 the average sales price of a condo in South Boston rose 6% while median price remained pretty much the same.  Total sale volume increased by a healthy 24% and the total market value sold jumped 31%. I was recently browsing MLS and saw an entry only listing a.k.a. a For Sale By Owner (FSBO) listing that was offering a $1 dollar commission. Not 1% but $1. The property was priced at over $500k. After lingering on the market for close to 6 months, the listing expired and the property didn’t sell. I called the seller and am in the process of potentially getting the listing but I hope the seller learned her lesson.
