Boston Market Report Q1 2012 – The Numbers Show Improvement Across The Board The Boston Real Estate market is showing signs of a rebound following some healthy growth in Q1 2012 vs. Q1 a year ago. The most telling figure is the sales volume. In 2011 a total of 828 properties sold totaling $446,658,862 in market volume. In 2012 there were 967 properties sold, totaling $527,030,057 in market volume. This represents a 17% increase in sales volume. boston market report: Boston Market Report - January 2012 Outlook - 01/25/12 02:42 PM

The Boston Real Estate market appears to be poised for a rebound in January 2012. With 10% increase in sales volume from November 2011 to December 2011 and a 3% increase in the average sales price, the outlook for January 2012 is positive. My team and I see more buyer activity than normal and feel that this will translate into increased sales through January 2012 and February 2012 as long as the uncharacteristically warm weather holds up. In September of 2010 there were 388 properties that closed within the month for Boston Massachusetts. This is a decrease of 18%, as there were 476 homes that closed in September of 2009.
The Average list price for the homes that closed in Boston for September of 2009 was $450,393
The Average list price for the homes that closed in Boston for September of 2010 was $525,097
The Average sale price for the homes that closed in Boston for September of 2009 was $427,460
The Average sale price for the homes that closed in Boston for September of 2010 was $491,989
