The big news around town is that President Bush is coming to town Wednesday and Thursday for fund-raising events for John McCain. Mr. Bush will be staying in Deer Valley at former Massachusetts Governor and former Presidential candidate Mitt Romney's home. Helicopters have been seen flying around town gearing up for the Presidents visit. One protest party, labeled the Bush Bash BBQ, has been scheduled at City Park. Interest rates for fixed-rate mortgages fell slightly this week on news of both weaker industrial production in April and consumer sentiment falling in May to its lowest level since June 1980. The 30 year … (0 comments)

glenwild: WAIT!!!.....interest rates slightly up....don't close that loan just yet! - 04/27/08 06:24 AM
STOP...before you lock in that loan....NOTE: Due to inflation concerns 30 year fixed rates jumped to just over 6% (6.03%) last week for the first time in a month and a half. The 15 year fixed is at 5.62%, up .22%, abs the 5 year ARM is up .2% to 5.68%. While these are still historically low, you might want to wait a week or two before locking in a rate.
So give a little pause if you're about to finalize the terms of your loan...waiting just a few days might really shave some points off for you!

glenwild: The Market is Poppin' in Old Town and Glenwild - 04/14/08 10:25 AM
While we were in New Orleans, all 3 ski areas in Park City closed for the season despite all of them having over 120 inch bases!
The season was one of the best in memory even though we had somewhat of a late start.
It was not until January that we had great powder days, but once they started they did not seem to stop....we even skied powder the last week of the ski season! Although the numbers are not in, Deer Valley looks to be on pace to have its fourth year in a row with record attendance.  In Real … (0 comments)

glenwild: Deep Powder In Time For The Deer Valley Six Pack - 03/31/08 08:56 AM
There was plenty of snow to keep this amazing ski season going strong over the weekend.  We skied powder up to our knees on Sunday and it snowed even more today.  By Wednesday the weather reporters are predicting even more glorious flakes to come our way, making the end of the week a great time to take a Spring Ski Vacation.  Not only is the snow fabulous, but so is the sun shine.  It's warm and sunny - living up to what visitors to Park City expect.  The ski beach at Silver Lake Lodge at Deer Valley is nothing short of heaven … (0 comments)
