New Home in Santa Clarita

It is with great pleasure and excitement that I have made the change to a new office in the Santa Clarita Valley.

SCV Home Buyer, specializing in of all things foreclosure properties. Bas Panch is the broker that truly has a gift for convincing banks to list there properties for a quick sale.

Currently the majority of the inventory does not even make it to the MLS. It gets sold to someone from our data base that has been pre-approved and has the resources to purchase quickly.

If you are a buyer and you would like to be added to our data base, please don't hesitate to contact me.

My name is Rob Baldwin, Santa Clarita, CA REALTOR®

What does it take, will it take, for a chance..........to live!

To understand what I would like to convey, a little ground work needs to be done. Ask your self this question. In the last few days what have you complained about. The heat, rain, to much wind, not enough traffic in that listing you have had for the last eight months, sellers are not listening, buyers can't get a loan.

Any thing, wether you consider it to be big or little in your life.

Now ask yourself another question. How have I helped the situation by complaining about what ever it is I'm not happy with. If you are speaking with someone about these troubles, they probably are thinking to them selves, yeah yeah yeah take a number buddy and get in line. We all (think we) have something to go off on these days.

For myself I really experienced an eye opener. This past Monday I visited the Leukemia, Lymphoma section of the Children's Hospital in Los Angeles, were I met some really brave little souls ranging in age from 2 to 14. And the one thing that really inspired me was none of them had anything negative to say and I think they had every right to complain.

I spoke with a 13 year old boy named Augustine that had just under gone a round of chemo the day before and he was not able to move his legs. He said every time he has his treatment this happens. I also met an 8 year old girl named Sarah, she is in her third relapse of Leukemia. These kids had an excellent reason to complain...........But they don't.

Here's my point, when we think that nothing is going our way, what ever you are going through and the outcome is not what you had planed or envisioned. My advice to you would be "let it go" don't dwell on what is not going right, dwell on creating a solution, there are worse things in life that can happen. Be grateful you don't have to go through what these kids are going through.

Now the pitch. I am involved in raising money for a cure for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and they could really use your help. For more info please visit this site, I promise you it will only take a minute to read the content, it is only a couple of short paragraphs. What ever you are able to do would be greatly appreciated.

Rob Baldwin

P.S. I know that those kids would be grateful if you passed this along to others, for them.

You Cant Stop iT, It's CoMInG! wOOO WhOOO!

Always this time of year I start getting really excited. Why, because September is not far off, and in my mind that is the start of fall. I love that time of year when the weather starts cooling some what, Monsoons blow in to the high desert (it gets a little muggy). And the best part......it's home stretch time for MLB. I love it!

Roster's get expanded to show case up and coming talent, some get a chance to help a contending team and may even prove themselves to hang around for a post season spot.

You gota love it.

Remember the last two weeks of the season of 07 the Mets blew there 7 or so game lead, the Rockies won there last 14 or so games to take the west, and go to the World Seris.

WOW! what do we have to look forward to at the end of this year!

The Ray's hang on to win there division, the Mets win without Willie, the Dodgers take the west by 3 games and finish 2 games under 500.

Man do I love surprise's, kinda like when the phone rings out of the blue, and on the ohter end is your next client.

Have Fun!

All Star Game Was a Slam!

OK all of you baseball purist's. I can't believe no one has written about the all star game the other night. In my opinion that was the best game in recent memory.

There was some offense, at the plate and the base's. Oh and how many guys were thrown out at the plate. You had awesome pitching from both sides. For those that really love extra innings you had that. And the last all star game that will be played in the house that Ruth built.

The home run derby Monday night was awesome. Josh (I can't remember his last name) from the Rangers hit 28 home runs his first time up. That had never been done before.

And of course I always like seeing the old timer's at events like this.

So for those of you who watched the game give me your take.

To sum it all up the all star game was like the best real estate transaction you could ever hope to experience. Looking forward to the post season.

Go Dodgers!!!!!!!!

Greetings!

I am raising money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as a participant in
their Team In Training and I'm asking you to help by making a
contribution. Each donation helps accelerate cures for leukemia, lymphoma
and myeloma and brings hope to the patients and families who are on the
front lines of the battle against these diseases.

Please use the link in this email to donate online quickly and securely.
You will receive a confirmation by email of your donation and I will be
notified as soon as you make your donation.

On behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, thank you very much for your
support. I really appreciate your generosity!

You can learn more about my efforts and make a donation by visiting the
following Web site:

http://www.active.com/donate/tntgla/tntglaRBaldwi

P.S. Please forward this email to as many people as you can to encourage
them to donate as well!

My goal is that 4000 Activerain members donate just $1.00, one dollar, that's it. This goal seems reachable since there are over 96,000 members and with the help of my fellow Activerainers I don't see why in just a few days this could be acomplished.

Thank you in advance for your carring and generosity to help others that are not able to help themselves because of there dibilitating disease .

Buyers option

Buyers, what are you thinking right now? I use the term "buyers" loosely. Let me qualify what I term are buyers.

A buyer is a person that has a strong desire and the need to buy something, anything. You can not classify a person a buyer by virtue of putting them in your car and driving them around for months. That's a person using you to site see your town and just might not be that interested in jumping in the pool yet.

OK, now that I have that out of the way, let me ask the question again. Buyers what are you thinking right now? Are you still waiting for the market to bottom? If so let me tell you a little secret. The only way to know you have hit the bottom of the market is when you look back on the past and realize that the graph is now pointing up. Ooops, too late, you missed it.

Now what? Consider this as an option. If you think the Santa Clarita market is still tanking. Then I want you to choose the home you really would like to have, tell me what you think the price should or could be, and I will then present your offer.

That's it, simple. Now what are you waiting for?

If you qualify, I can assist you in fulfilling your need!

New park in Santa Clarita

If you have lived in Santa Clarita for some time, then chances are you have driven past a large vacant piece of Santa Clarita real estate at the corner of McBean and Decoro, that in the past few months has undergone a transformation.

The parcel is owned by the Metropolitan Water District, and was built by Newhall Land & Farm. The fences are due to come down sometime in June and in July the responsibilty of maintianing the area will be in the competent care of the Land Maintence District of Santa Clarita.

Emilio Blanco who's job it was to build the park says that there are future plans for the rear portion that borders the San Francisquito river, to be made into a grass park.

There are rumors that the vacant parcel could not be built on due to a fault line running through it. Emilio Blanco said that he was not aware of any fault lines, however there is a large water line that belongs to the Metropolitan Water District that runs through the middle preventing any buildings being built on the property.

You be the judge!

Recently I bought an Epson v200 photo scanner. After scanning and touching up with the scanners software I still was not satisfied with the end result.

Then I remembered a post that Jeff Turner of Real Estate Shows had done last year talking about a site called Picnik that he used to really snaz up his pictures. I think that the following pics speak for them selves.

Not bad for a free site!

This picture was taken in the late 60's (who would

have guessed) as you can see the first picture

looks washed out, and this is after I touched it

up with the scanners software. Then I went to

Picnik and played with it for a couple of minutes

and this 2nd picture is what I ended up with. Note

the yellow on the little girls coat was due to a

lousy storage practice, not recomended. In the

event you are wondering who these people are. The

man is my father-in-law, my brother in law is on

his right, and holding his left hand is the gal I have been married to for the last 22 years.

Now when I take my pictures for the MLS, of the great Santa Clarita Real Estate, they will look awesome.

This one should stick!

All right Mr Moderator, you win!! Recently I have had several of my posts pulled on Baseball talk 101 because they were lacking......to say the least in baseball content. So I have only baseball content for this post. (for the most part anyway)

Are you a little fed up with these touted phenom wonder arms racking in the cash from Japan, only to belly flop when they get here. I am speaking of the Dodgers Hideki Kuroda, if memory serves correctly they paid him like 45 million for a couple, three years or such, and so far, aside from an opening day win he has been as flat as a pancake.

Now I bet you guys in Boston are shaking your heads saying yep last year we had "Dice-K" (didn't really follow Boston, however I didn't here great things about him latter in the season either). Do you think all those pitchers from Japan think they are Hideo Nomo. Please don't misunderstand me, I am not saying I don't want to see any more players from Japan come over here and try to compete. I just don't want to keep flippin the bill that these owners keep paying these guys.

Kinda sort-a reminds me of a few of my collegues grumbling about taking out some of these buyers these days that just don't make the grade either, wasting there gas. Just goes to show you, you never know who is going to come up big in the clutch. Oh yeah his name is Blake Dewitt, rookie third baseman for the Dodgers. As of tonight he is 6-6 with 12 RBI's with the bases loaded. Not bad for a guy playing double A ball last year.

Oh well I guess such is life in the big leagues.

Looking for a long ball in the ninth, down by one and a man on first with two out.

I'm Rob Baldwin Santa Clarita REALTOR®

Yeah! alright an update on the Dodgers pitcher Hideki Kuroda. I finally got his second win tonight.(May 21) I knew if I wrote something a little negative about him he would come around. Now I need to come up with something for Lowe and Penny. They have really stunk up the park in each of there last few outings.

Free Energy-Home Generator-Zero Point Energy off the Grid

Recently I read a post Missy Caulk wrote about how the government has a goal that by 2030 20% of our electricity will be generated from wind using windmills.

While I am glad that we are looking for natural resources to produce power. It disturbs me that we will forsake the beauty of a horizon by polluting it with windmills no matter how remote the location is.

While I am not a tree hugging extremist. I am a person that would like to manage better the way I live and use resources. And by doing so save some money.

I have a dream that some day my home will be totally self sufficient. Electricity will be solar power or another self sufficient source and water will come from a well.

You don't have to look very hard on the internet these days to find plans for using water in your vehicle to generating heat using water. Better for the environment and better for your pocket book in the long run.

This leads me to my original thought. While on utube the other day I ran across this clip. I'm sorry to say I have not yet figured out how to have the link directly in my post so until then you will have to access it the old fashioned way by clicking on this Free Energy Home Generator Zero point Energy off the Grid its just over 4 min long and I would love to hear what you have to say about it.

An option to stretch your $$$ at the pump

How many times has this happend to you. You are driving down the road and in front of you is the worst polluting vehicle you have seen in some time. You can't roll up your windows and shut off the fan fast enough (if you live in California you can call 1-800-cut-smog to report them) before you turn a shade of green that you have never seen before.

What can be done with a vehicle like this. Well there still is hope other than kicking it to the salvage yard. It's called H2O, yep good ole water.

I am sure you know by now that there is Hydrogen in water (that is what the H is in H2O) and Hydrogen burns very clean, in fact the by product of Hydrogen is water. Any way there is a process to extract the Hydrogen from the water and insert it into your vehicles intake manifold and use it to propel you down the road, saving $$ on the old fosil fuel you just paid $4.00 a gallon for.

It is far from time that we really take an intiatave and do something to help ourselves, the environment and the lungs of many.

If you would like to learn more about using H2O into gas follow this link H2O into gas.

I hope you find it useful.

Be careful Santa Clarita, and the rest of California

New laws for the CHP to enforce starting July 1, 2008

Drivers 18 and over

Drivers 18 and over will be allowed to use hands-free device to talk on their wireless telephones while driving.

The new law does not prohibit dialing, but drivers are strongly urged not to dial while driving.

It is legal to use a Blue Tooth or other earpiece as long as only one ear is uncovered.

Speaker phone is acceptable to use while driving. The law does not specifically prohibit it's use, but an officer can pull over the vehicle and issue a citation to driver of any age if, in the officer's opinion, the driver was distracted and not operating the vehicle safely. Text paging while driving is unsafe at any speed and is strongly discouraged.

Drivers Under 18

No drivers under the age of 18 may use a wireless telephone, pager, laptop or any other electronic communication or mobile services device to speak or text while driving in any manner, even hands free.

The exception is in emergency situations to call police, fire or medical authorities.

Statistics show that teen drivers are more likely than older drivers to be involved in crashes because they lack driving experience and tend to take greater risks. Teen drivers are vulnerable to driving distractions such as talking with passengers, eating, drinking or texting on the wireless phones, which increase the chance of getting involved in severe crashes.

Parents cannot grant permission to allow the use of wireless telephones while driving.

For drivers under the age of 18, this is considered a SECONDARY violation meaning that a law enforcement officer may cite you for using a hands-free wireless phone if you were pulled over for another violation. However, the prohibition against using a handheld wireless telephone while driving is a PRIMARY violation for which a law enforcement officer can pull you over for.

Fines

First offense: $20.00

Second offense: $50.00

Important Notice for Santa Clarita and all of California

I recently received this in an email and I would like to pass it along to all Californians.

It is unusual for REATORS® to talk about Ballot Porpositions with clients, but this is an extraordinary circumstance. The upcoming June 3rd Primary Election Ballot includes a voter-sponsored initiative that will protect homeowners and businessess private property rights. You've worked hard to invest in real estate, and government should not be able to use eminent domain to take it without appropriate cause.

In these challenging economic times, some local governments are abusing eminent domain to take private property and give it to big box retail stores and other sales tax opportunities.

Propositon 98 would impose an outright prohibition on the use of eminent domain to take any private property, including homes, businesses and farms, for private use. In cases where eminent domain is allowed, such as freeways, parks and schools. Prop. 98 says that it can only occur IF just compensation has ben paid.

In Vista, CA, city officials are attempting to classify 37% of the city as "blighted" making it easier to seize properties within that area. (San Diego Union Tribune, April 13, 2008)

In Baldwin Park, CA, the city is threatening to use eminent domain to take 400 homes and businesses so developers can build new, higher cost retail and housing. (Los Angeles Business Journal, April 7, 2008)

Proposition 98 is supported by C.A.R.® and a statewide coalition of diverse organizations and individuals. Learn more at www.Yes Prop98.com and vote YES!

This same coalition is OPPOSING Propositon99. Prop. 99 is a TRICK designed to maintain the status quo and confuse voters. Prop. 99 is particularly dangerous because if both propositons pass and Prop. 99 gets more votes it CANCELS OUT Prop 98. A YES VOTE FOR BOTH MEASURES IS A VOTE AGAINST PROP. 98

YES ON 98. NO ON 99.

Whats tougher than this real estate market?

Whoa man if you love baseball (and I do) you can appreciate good hitting. Take the Houston Astros 3, 4, and 5 hitters. In there last two games they are 10 for 21 and Lance Berkman is hitting an astronomical .732 in for his last 20 plus at bats.

Even this real estate market isn't as tough to face as these guys. I just wish the Astros had not rolled into town on fire like they are. This is the last thing the Dodgers needed.

Dodgers vs the world Champs at the Coliseum

Like the saying goes "better late than never"

Last saturday the Los Angeles Dodgers hosted the Boston Red Sox at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. That was the longest day of recent memory.

I left my house at 2pm and did not get home until 2am. But did I have fun!

                                    Check out my pics!

This is a freind I made. She busted me climbing over the seats, and did'nt let me forget it. So I had to take her picture.

Can't remember her name so I called her #35

Last time I visted this place was the 84 Olympics.

LA Fire dept flyover after the Anthem

First pitch since the Dodgers left in 61!

Something you don't see every day. The Dodgers only played two outfeilders the entire game. Personaly I think they gave up two runs because of it. But hey my name is not Joe Torre either!

Hope you enjoyed them. At some point I will post the video I have of 100 thousand people enjoying the Anthem.

Yep at least 100 thousand if not more. They sold 115 thousand tickets. A new record was set that night the most tickets sold to a baseball game and of course the largest crowd to see a baseball game.

Previous record was set in 1958, the Dodgers hosted the New York Yankees for an exibition game were they had 93 thousand at the very same spot.

Well thats it for my useless trivia.

Get Up and Win the Race!

As we go through the different seasons of our lives. We experience periods when we fall flat on our face, and as we are lying there we can't help but think. I can't get back up, I don't have the energy, or the will to face reality again.

If you or someone you know can use a little pick me up, or motivation. Take a look at this brief video, and remember to keep going, never give up.
Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival

Ye-Ha, it’s that time of year again. It is the 15th annual “Cowboy Festival” coming April 23-27. Ya’ll have some time to work this into your schedule.

If you are wondering what the festival is all about well let me tell you there is a lot to choose from. There are several events through out Santa Clarita Valley.

• Concert at William S. Hart Museum

• Unveiling of a few new stars on the Walk of Western Stars

• A lunch and show at an old California Rancho

• And a themed dinner train.

The main portion of the festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday when you can visit Melody Ranch Motion Picture Studio formerly owned by Gene Autry, and currently serves as a real working ranch. In the past Melody Ranch has been the location for thousands of productions, and most recently HBO’s “Deadwood” hung there hat at the Ranch. As you walk through an authentic western movie set, enjoy performances by some of the most respected Cowboy musicians including Don Edwards, Quebe Sisters Band, and Sons of the San Joaquin, to name a few. And all the while you are enjoying the Ranch, you can grub on cowboy cuisine.

The annual Cowboy Festival event is consistently recognized as one of the worlds best, were you go back into time and are able to enjoy the sights, sounds, and cuisine, similar to that of the old west.

If you are from these parts or plan on being here the later part of April, then won’t you plan on attending, I know that I will. You can find me wearing my ten gallon hat, silver spurs, and latigo. ( I need to ask Garth Brooks what the heck “latigo” is anyway)

For more information on the 2008 Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival, including tickets, event times, prices, venues and more, visit http://www.cowboyfestival.org/or call the Cowboy Festival Ticket hot-line at 661.286.4021.

If you are looking to relocate into or out of the Santa Clarita Valley, I can certainly assist you.
Soon to be a memory

It is a sad day in Santa Clarita, an old friend is on the verge of disappearing for good. Newhall Hardware is closing its doors after there liquidation sale is over. Why are they closing? It seems that competition from the big guys, the economy, and a new traffic patteren have all contributed to the final days..

If you asked anyone in the SCV where you could get an obscure object, most people would ask "have you checked Newhall Hardware" Man they had every thing.

Opened in 1947 by Don Guglielmino, whom owned and operated it until long time employee Victor Feany bought it in 1998. You could go there and ask just about any one a question on a "how to project". Most of the guys that used to work there were retired from the construction trade of some sort. And they would give you a good idea of what you needed, and how to use it effectively.

When you walked into the store one of the first things you did was go into the back and grab a handful of peanuts. As you walked the ailes folks would drop there shells. After your search, the check out was an experience. They did'nt have the new check out registers, they still had the old ones. You know the kind when you pushed the keys to ring up the sale, it would go "cha-ching" and the drawer would pop open.

With each passing day the winds of change take some things away, but always replace them with something new. We may not like it at first but like most things we learn to adapt and move on.

Good bye Newhall Hardware, thanks for serving the great people of the Santa Clarita Valley for all those years!

Procrastinated Meme

Yes finally I have taken the time to stop for a moment and pound out some insightful information on myself. Some of the questions that I will answer (not that anyone was asking) are. Who is Rob Baldwin really? What does he like to do? Where does he come from? What are his interests?

•1) Born in Fresno California back in 63, and on my 2nd birthday, Sandy Koufax threw a no hitter for the Dodgers, which is not a little known fact, but one that is. I actually attended 13 different schools between K-12 and of the 13 I went to the same high school 10-12 grades.

•2) In 85 I married a gal I knew from high school and we have two great kids. Taylor is 20, and Brianne our baby, a senior in high school is 17.

•3) I love to work with wood! I have built beds, desks, cabinets, fireplace mantels, entertainment centers, and gazebos, converted an attic over my garage into an office, won 3rd place in my fifth grade art fair for a toothpick sculpture. Man I wish I had a picture of it. It was spray painted gold, boy it looked snazzy!

Oh yeah, and I lost a portion of my left thumb when I tried to combine daydreaming and a screaming router.

•4) Before real estate I worked in customer service for United Airlines. I really loved that job, standing behind a belt loader breathing diesel fumes, in the pouring rain, water up to my ankles, fingers numb and I still had a smile on my face the whole while. I got to travel a bit. Once I took the family to Honolulu for the day, went to Chicago with a buddy for a day just to have pizza. The same buddy and I also went to NY for the day to see a Yankee game. I left there to soley put all of my time into becoming a REALTOR®

•5) If you ask my friends what type of person I am, I think they would tell you that I am one of the most laid back and spontaneous, fun loving people they know. However if you were to ask Nola Chandler, she would say I am the dumbest person she knows only because she can't figure why a person would want to run 26.2 miles without stopping. Yup I do love to run. This year my goal is to run in 4 marathons, and hike the highest peak in the 48 states.

Ok, that is it in a nut shell for me, I feel that the basics were covered.
New Construction in the Santa Clarita Valley

Recently Lennar Homes issued a price reduction on two lots in the new RiverVillage community. These are a great savings off of the original list price.

The amenities that are included are nothing short of spectacular. For instance one of the more important rooms of any home is the kitchen.

The Chef's kitchen comes with a granite center island, European-inspired grotto and back-splash, solid wood cabinetry with slide-out shelving, deeper sink and cabinets, full-extension self-closing drawers.

These are not upgrades; everything you see in the model is standard on every home.

       Heirloom at RiverVillage

<img src="http://activerain.com/image_store/uploads/8/8/9/3/5/ar119743021253988.jpg" height="170" align="left" alt="santa clarita real estat<p260" width="240" />

Open expansive floor plan.
Surfs up!

Earlier in the week a phenomenon took place hear in Southern California that we have not seen for at least 10 years. Massive surf! Oh yeah, there were reports of sets coming in 10-15 feet. You guys in Hawaii are probably rolling your eyes. But it is a big deal when you usually have 2-4 footers. :)

I had half way heard, not really paying much attention to the news, that there was a high surf advisory. But I didn't really think much of it until, Wednesday when I picked up the paper and it was on the front page. So now my curiosity had been piqued, I had to make the trip, and see for myself what all the fuss was about.

Now Santa Claritais not exactly "on the beach" we are inland about a 40 min drive west on the 126 thru Fillmore, and Santa Paula. Its a great little drive, nice and easy with lots of orange trees and other farming, something that one might not expect to see so close to a big metropolis like Los Angeles.

So now I am in Ventura, I first went over to the mouth of the harbor next to the break water and jetty's. I figured that they would give me a great perspective as to just how big the surf really was.

I took these pictures standing on top of a dune maybe 15 feet above the sand, and I am back about 50 yards from where the waves are breaking on the beach. One can't be to safe, besides I had my 11 year old nephew with me, and I didn't want him to close the water. In all I ended up taking 82 pictures, you think I got a little carried away. 8)

I hope you enjoy them. Cowabunga dude!

Always remember

During the course of my days. I often think of those that laid down there lives so that I can roam freely about this great country of ours. I can speak my mind without fear of the government throwing me in jail for the rest of my life, or worse.

Of course this being December 7th, the day Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, that day set into motion events that changed the course of our nation.

This post is a tribute to that day. I will never forget, and my pledge to those that lost their lives and those that served so valiantly. I will honor you buy continually reminding my family and friends.

I have met some terrific people in my life that served our country in WWII. Johnny Flores was a neighbor of mine. He was an infantry man serving in Europe. After he passed away his wife told me that he was the highest decorated Hispanic to serve in the war.

When I was working at United Airlines, I had the privilege of meeting a gentleman that served in the pacific aboard a submarine. When I thanked him for doing what he did, the poor guy nearly cried.

There was a time when I was pumping gas, a car pulled up on the other side of the pump from mine and his license plate read P38... I don't remember the rest. When I asked him about it he told me that he was a P38 pilot stationed in England. The other half of his plate had something to do about meeting his wife during the war.

In the early 80's I worked at Saks Fifth Ave. There was a gentleman named Richard (I wish I could remember his last name) he was a belly turret gunner on a B-17 stationed in Europe.

One of my grandfathers was in the Philippines. Unfortunately that is all that I know about him serving. When I would ask him about his time there he would always change the subject. I suspect he saw some pretty grime things and just did not want to think about them.

So with that I wanted to share some pictures I was sent several months ago. I was told that these were taken right after the attack on Pearl Harbor. These pictures were found not long ago still in the camera that had been found in a footlocker.

If any one has story's of friends or family's that served. Please share them, they need to be passed down and never forgotten.

There are more pictures if any one would like to see them I would be happy to email them to you.

Thanks for taking the time to read ths post.

Rob Baldwin

Its not always sunny in Philadelphia, but it usually is in Santa Clarita CA.

During the course of a day, lately I continually glance at the calender, to remind myself that it is early December. The weather typically is rather mild, and if you have chosen Santa Clarita Ca. as your residence then you know what I am talking about.

Yesterday morning (12/4/07) I got up, put on my short sleeved running shirt, and my running shorts, and took off for a leisurely 7 mile run. Ah yes the weather was terrific, a gentle wind was blowing, aiding me in the prevention of over heating, birds were fluttering about, lizards scampering off the trail, the day could not be better!

While I was running I couldn't help but think about those of you that live in parts of the country were the weather doesn't climb out of the teens for days and maybe weeks. (How do you do it?) You get snowed in for days, driving conditions are terrificly horrible. And yet there you are, and stay. Those areas must be awesome in the spring and summer months for you to not pack up and head for a warmer claimant.

Now for anyone having a thought about venturing out west. In the new year I will be introducing the different communities that comprise the Santa Clarita Valley, so that you can have a better understanding were I am coming from. I will show you great amenities such as Town Square, pesaos, and just how close to the beach and the thriving area of downtown Los Angeles we are.

So stay tuned, I intend to show you the real Santa Clarita. (as opposed to the one that got nuked on the show 24 last season) 8)

Someone once said to Zig Ziglar "motivation is great but it doesn't last." Zig replied, "bathing is great but it doesn't last either thats why I recommend it daily."

What a funny simple statement.
