COLUMBIA, S.C. - South Carolina freshman tailback Marcus Lattimore has been named AgSouth Athlete of the Week.
Lattimore, a 6-0, 218-pounder from Duncan, S.C., rushed for 182 yards on 37 carries and scored the Georgia game's only two touchdowns in his first SEC contest on Saturday. The 37 carries is a freshman school record and was the third-highest single game mark in Carolina history. The 182-yards rushing was the most by a Gamecock since the 2000 season.
