Most people truly do not know what a condominium is. This is because the first condos that we all became familiar with in our region all looked the same or possibley you moved to Canada and never encountered them previously. These original condos were all 2 storey townhouse units, joined together in rows of 6 or 8. These attached row housing hence became commonly referred to as condos, a term which was and still is incorrect. Let me clarify this a bit. Lethbridge real estate - relocating to Lethbridge Today I received a great call from a client who is looking at retiring to Lethbridge. Lethbridge actually attracts a large number of retirees, both from the surrounding rural communities but also from across Canada. The thing that makes Lethbridge real estate attractive is the combination of small town living with big city amenities. Lethbridge is a comfortable and affordable place to retire. Once again, another quick video I made of a Lethbridge real estate development. This compound is called Southmeadows Villas, and it is an adult living condo complex. The units in it are all semi-detached (duplex style) condominiums. All units feature an attached double garage and the units on the south back onto the Fairmont lake.

Many consumers, and some real estate professionals even, do not fully understand what exactly a condo is. For many, when they hear the word 'Condo' they automatically think of rows of crappy old townhouses like these ones shown here. These are actually townhouses and not Lethbridge condos. These townhouse units may or may not be condos.
