 Spring is a special time here in Driftwood Estates.. It seems like everything beautiful grows in abundance.

Why, there are more colors here than you find in a rainbow!  And the insects, and lizards, and birds, and bees,... they're just everywhere you look!  I really need to get a picture of the beautiful little humming birds that visit us during this time.  And soon, the most beautiful bluebirds the eye can see will stop to say 'hello'...  Gosh, what a wonderful place to live!!

Looking northwest from the shoreline in Driftwood Estates, reveals one more testimony to the logic of living in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.  Now I ask you, can there be a more peaceful, tranquil place in the world?  Where dolphins frolic in Choctawhatchee Bay, birds of all sizes and shapes fill the airspace, while small sea creatures scramble busily at the shoreline...  Just another reminder of why we live in Florida!!

Winter has returned to the Southland... - 04/15/08 01:48 AM
Here in northwest Florida, we thought winter was over. It is Spring, isn't it!  Why, the spring-breakers were all here for the last couple of weeks, and boats are back out to sea and in the bay, and wave-runners are zooming up and down the bay, the wind-surfers are on the bay, I even prepared my own boat for a week end getaway.  But now, it is downright cold outside, the wind is blowing, and the chill cuts to the bones.... Somebody tell me what's going on!  It ain't supposed to be like this in Florida!! … (0 comments)

Spring is sprung, the flowers, the insects, the birds, the fish, it seems everything has come alive and active.  Even the grass grows again - and here in Florida, it's the prolific Pennywort, or Dollar Weed, as we call it.  That's the one you can't seem to stop from growing...  Mortgage interest rates are historically low, the market is flooded with super deals for buyers, yet the media predicts inflation, depression, and other dooms day scenerios.
