Fresh Market opened in Pawleys Island, SC yesterday. I was driving past and decided to pull in and go through the parking lot. The parking lot was FULL! There was a line outside waiting to get into the store prior to opening at 9AM. This has been a much awaited opening even though there is no shortage of food outlets in Pawleys Island, SC. The store looks nice even though it is a behemoth by Pawleys Island, SC standards.

My Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Windy, hit the beach today and loved it. Windy is an 11 year old female and is still very active. Her favorite activity is long, open water retrieves in the ocean. We went to the south end of Pawleys Island, SC and the crowd was extremely light with only about 7 vehicles in the parking lot. My daughter played in the sand and then we had a picnic dinner. We met two other children that had been netting jellyfish and crabs in the creek and they all shared some Skittles.

The Founder's Club golf course and clubhouse is built on the site of the former Sea Gull Golf Club and boast thoroughly modern facilities and design. It was conceived in 2006 but final construction was delayed by last year's drought. Founder's Club is the first new public course to open in Pawleys Island, SC in the past 5 years.
