Hay day in Farmington NH In times of yesteryear, many farming communities would gather together and help one another to harvest the various crops grown in the community. This was long hard work that was commonly done by all members of the family, the old fashioned way. Often times at the end of the harvest, people would gather together and have a celebration to express gratitude toward one another and simply to celebrate the "fruits" of their labor. Calef's Country Store is situated smack dab in the heart of Barrington, NH. Visiting Calef's is like stepping back in time. Calef's is a quintessential New England country store. Many years have come and gone since it opened but not too much has changed since it was established in 1869. Here you will find Good people, good service and even better food!
