1.  Get the Website out of FrontPage and into Expression Web for acceptable mark up language and lean cascading style sheets in the process (CSS).  This has been a serious issue for me and the Project began in 2006 when Microsoft retired FrontPage.  I have to get it out of my head that it has to be 100% correct on my first go with it!!  I drive myself nuts with this type of thing and I love learning something new.  I know, makes no … (18 comments)

No, not this type but the liquid social type of Tea Party.  Two women in my small community got together to host a Sunday afternoon Tea Party while the men watched football back home.
What a wonderful Southern custom and just such an enjoyable get together to simply share the old timey custom of "visiting".

The Carl Sandburg Home was proud to host a very special ceremony for Constitution Day and Citizenship Day.  Friday, September 17 2010 was a first time event for Western NC and the Carl Sandburg Home.
This ceremony was one of more than 20 such ceremonies being conducted throughout the country in national parks.
John Harbin of the Times-News Staff wrote this well put together article of this event welcoming proud new American citizens.

These numbers are provided by the 4 County Western NC Regional MLS system and representresidential home sales in Buncombe (Asheville Area), Haywood, Henderson (Hendersonville Area) and Transylvania (Brevard Area)  counties.  Land/lots are not included in these figures.  If you would find other stats helpful, such as by these individual counties that Robin services, let us know. 
 
The strong buyers market continues but we have seen a drop in inventory which is great news.  Buyers still have a great selection to choose from but it's encouraging to see the drop.

Thanks to Mari Trosclar in NC for this info.  I have never encountered this happening but it makes sense that it could.  Especially for some folks on wells with high mineral content that could build up and cause the valves to lock up.

Have You Ever Felt Like A SLOB?!  Buy a carpet cleaner and it will bring you to your knees!
Since we have 2 dog kids I decided that instead of calling the carpet cleaning folks again we'd invest in a carpet cleaner and do it ourselves when we felt it needed it.
Soooo, Marvin goes off to Walmart and comes home with our new Bissell Carpet Cleaner.  Extracts it from the confines of the box and assembles it.  And we're ready -- so we think.  Not really reading the instruction booklet we/HE started.  First thing is attachment hose is flopping all over … (9 comments)

A Good Looking Visitor Stopped By Today in Hendersonville NC:  I just wanted to share one of Mother Nature's beautiful creatures.  Mr. Willie (canine kid) and I were just returning from an outside trip when this butterfly came gracefully flitting about.  Than it decided to take a break and rested on the side of our utility building.  I told my hubby I was going for the camera and he said why, did I think this creature was going to wait for me?  Well it did and here it is in all its beauty.
