What is Happening with the Austin Real Estate Market - 08/31/10 08:29 AM
Down 25%! In July I wrote a blog post about the absence of buyers. They seemed to have disappeared. I didn't have any buyers in client line up and no one was visiting my listings.
The statistics came out showing that in July, Austin home sales were down 25% over July of last year. That was better than the national average at 27.5% so it appears that Austin is in better shape than most of the nation. Back-Up Contracts in Austin, Texas - 08/27/10 12:55 PM
Occasionally a home comes up for sale and you just want it so badly but there is a contract already on it. What can you do?
You can write a back-up offer.
Recently, a buyer of mine identified a house she wanted to purchase. As is the custom in Austin, I called the listing agent and left a message that I had an interested buyer only to find out that the seller had just put the final initials on a contract offer.
