Join me for B scene, a bi-monthly art party, as the Blanton celebrates their summer exhibition About Face: Portraiture as Subject. There's a live performance by up and coming Austin band Not in the Face at 9PM. Music on the plaza by el john Selector, tours, and art activities with portrait artists, free snacks, and a cash bar are some of the features. Do Gas Prices Effect Your Buying Location? - 05/21/11 10:30 AM
Perhaps it should, but the reality is that sometimes living closer to work isn't an option. Most often the reason a buyer chooses a home location is a combination of price and aesthetics.
For instance, if you work in downtown Austin you will be paying a premium price to live there; upwards of $250/sq.ft. In Austin, the closer you are to the downtown area, the more expensive the houses are because the more aesthetically pleasing the area is.
Downtown and near downtown is highly desireable because of the proximity to work areas, popular older homes, eclectic atmosphere, shopping, walkability and parks.

Home Sellers prefer REALTORS - 05/12/11 03:18 PM
Sometimes people think they want to sell their home without enlisting the aid of a REALTOR but I don't understand why. REALTORS have so much more experience and much better resources than a homeowner for marketing a property, negotiating an offer and navigating the processes.
HomeGain recently conducted a survey to find out how much home sellers valued REALTORS and the results are as follows:
83% of homeowners used a REALTOR to sell their home
59% of homeowners who used a REALTOR were successful in selling their home.
