The Palmdale Hybrid Power Plant Permit is on its way. The Palmdale Hybrid Power Plant is expected to be awarded its permit by the California Energy Commission. This innovative combination of natural gas/heat recovery/solar power plant will generate 570 MW of electricity — enough to power 600,000 homes. The project is expected to create 600 construction jobs, 40 to 50 permanent jobs at the plant, and infuse over $5 million into the local economy annually. August started off with some softness as buyers and sellers are looking for answers to the real estate markets.  The Antelope Valley, Palmdale and Lancaster areas are feeling the pinch of the current economy with low job growth and worries with their current job outlook.  However we did see some better numbers over July the real estate market remains unclear.  Sellers are mostly short sales which are taking 4 to 6 months to close, which add to the buyer’s frustrations.
