October sold in the Palmdale, Lancaster & other core areas was 668 units VS 187 in October 07 that a whopping 257% gain in sold units.

Here is another shocker open escrows from August 2007 through December 07 in the core area was 856. From August 2008 YTD we have open 2,365 units that over 176% gain in open escrows.

November is starting to show some holiday pressure in open escrows. August in the first 5 days of the month had 78 open escrows. September 131, and October 136 and November 105. It is a small drop from the last two months, but ahead of August 08 so the slowing looks to be holiday pressure.

We are seeing a drop in active resale homes running around 3,400 to 3,200 now dropping below 2,950.
