I was on a listing appointment last week in Bristol Va and in one of the out buildings I came across this old Kenmore Washing Machine! The sticker on the back still had the SEARS name on it. I have no idea how old it is but it was in great shape! And beleive it or not....it still works! This is just another one of those great images of time gone by that I come across in the Bristol Tn Va area! ***** And for all (20 comments)
As you know by now...I love to take photos of old barns when I get a chance. I captured this shot this past week while showing property in the Bristol Va area.
This angle makes the old barn look kind of like a monster! It's really neat what you can find if you just keep your eyes open. I hope you all have a great day! ********** And for all your Real Estate Needs in The Bristol Tn-Va-Tri-Cities Area...GoWithRobThomas.com ********** (17 comments)

This is a place out in the county that I actually found while looking at property today. I caught a glimpse of a structure back in the woods way back off the road.
The closer I got the more I could tell that at one time it was someone's home.
I found this old covered spring in the bank. I would assume this was their water supply.
The once new home now looks as if its been lost in time.
Or maybe one that time (7 comments)
The House In Two States.....Update! - 01/26/11 05:42 PM
The House In Two States.....Update! I had so many comments on this post about who pays taxes in what state so I went back out today to take a closer look!
The sign dividing Tennessee and Virginia is just on the other side of the road to the left and splits the house almost down the middle.
This is the sign that hangs near the front door of the house! According to tax records the address is Tennessee and the taxes are paid in Tennessee....so I assume the majority of the Home is in Tennessee or maybe all (5 comments)
The House In Two States! - 01/25/11 05:41 PM
The House In Two States! This home is just minutes from where I grew up in Bristol Tn. I have been past it what seems like a million times! What's so interesting about this property is the fact that it's in Tennessee and Virginia. We were always told that the people slept in Virginia and ate their meals in Tennessee.
Can you imagine what it was like to live here? It had to be a really neat place to live!
This is the sign that shows you entering Sullivan Co Tn and leaving Washington Co Va. (17 comments)
I was in Greeneville, Tn today showing property and came upon this Image of Time Gone By and had to stop and take this photo. At first I thought it was another barn, but the longer I looked at it, I was convinced it was a house. I have no idea when it was built but I can guess it was a long time ago! You know it was probably one of the nicest Homes around in its day, but over time it has been left to just weather away! I've (8 comments)

Winterizing Tip In Bristol Tn Va - 01/21/11 06:47 PM
Winterizing Tip In Bristol Tn Va This is a winterizing tip in Bristol Tn Va that you may want to remember from now on! I have a listing that was vacant and under contract. The appraiser showed up to the photos below! The seller forgot to turn off the water supply to all the outside faucets and when our temps fell into the teens for days one of the elbows decided to explode and turn this screened-in porch into a Winter Icicle Wonderland! Sorry...but pictures just don't do it justice....I guess you just had to be there! Everything turned (14 comments)
There's just something about this Piccadilly Cafeteria in Bristol Va that keeps me coming back year after year. Maybe it's the fact that when I was very young we started coming here every Sunday after Church....I promise you the line would be out the doors of the Mall and would take 30 minutes to an hour just to get through the serving line. It was my grandmothers favorite place to eat! Cafeteria eating seems to be dwindling across the country but the Piccadilly Cafeteria In Bristol Va has stood the (2 comments)

There's just something about the color RED when taken against a snowy white background! This is another one of those great shots taken in our recent snow fall. Insulation.....Not Just For Attics Anymore! - 01/18/11 07:48 PM
Insulation.....Not Just For Attics Anymore! I had a client who for days had heard the pitter patter of tiny feet in her attic above the kitchen. The sounds were never for very long but they were constant for it seemed like weeks. She finally called a pest control company to come out and inspect the attic area. When the company came out they found nothing!.... If you plan on going out of town for the week or even just for the weekend you should always turn off the ice maker and empty the ice before you leave. I had a client who returned from vacation to find that the power had gone off and all the ice melted and ran out of the refrigerator and ruined thier hardwood floors...even when the power came back on the water feed mal-functioned and water continued to flow out. Youth Basketball In Bristol Tn Va - 01/05/11 06:26 PM
Youth Basketball In Bristol Tn Va Youth Basketball in Bristol Tn Va is alive and well. They say this is where character begins - in our youth. It's been said that keeping our kids occupied by other activities other than just going to School goes a long way in keeping our youth out of trouble.
I attended such a game recently and I have to tell you that it was as exciting as any college game I've been to. The blue team lead the whole game and sometimes by as many as 8 points.
Real Roaring Fire! Some of my favorite childhood memories are from growing up in a home that always had a roaring fire going through those cold Winter days!
