This post is inspired by Susan Neal's post, Are you sure you really want to sell your house, which was in turn inspired by Alan May's post, Opportunity lost. Now, I'm not advocating EITHER of the situations Alan and Susan had to deal with there.  If you've read them, I'm sure that you'll agree that both situations were very bad for the sellers and their chances of actually selling. That said, I'm curious for opinions on the time-blocking for showings.  I've mulled this thought over for awhile now, and if used properly, I'm think time blocking could work. Here is a great article by J Philip Faranda on being a cash buyer.  It is true and to the point.  If you're a cash buyer, you need to be able to provide proof of funds on the initial write up of an offer, not after.
