Via Fred Chamberlin - Eugene/Springfield's #1 Experienced FHA Mortgage Consultant: I just have a few random thoughts this morning about what is happening right now in our economy. First of all, the election is over and win or lose for your candidate, get over it! We are all Americans, and America needs all of our help, not just the left or the right or the center. That said, lets talk about one of the most troubling reports, at least for me, and that is Consumer Confidence. This report measures the level of confidence individual households have in the performance of our economy (4 comments)
Via Thomas Scott - Showhomes: With all the negativity in the market, it's helpful to get some perspective. I saw this wonderful video clip on another blog taken from the Conan show and thought it really gives you something to think about. We have a lot to be thankful for and need to always keep this in mind. The market will improve and our services are always in demand! Enjoy: (0 comments)
Via Thomas Scott - Showhomes: I read an interesting article by Teresa Boardman on Inman news this morning titled: Ugly Listings bad for Busines In the article which you can read here, Boardman recounts how Realtor signs in front of vacant homes really make the Realtors look like they are doing a poor job. Here's her quote from a lunch meeting with a client: "His impression is that the agents who list the homes don't really do anything except put signs out, and he notices that the snow doesn't get shoveled, the lawn doesn't get mowed and there are never any lights (2 comments)

Via Coach Patti Kouri: Recently I asked a group of people over 65, "If you could live your life over, what would you do differently?" There were three answers: I’d take the time to stop and ask the big questions. I’d be more courageous and take more risks in work and in love. I’d try to live with purpose - to make a difference.” What if there was no such thing as fear, what would you be doing today? How would you be living – or doing business – differently? Via Nestor & Katerina Gasset Realtors® Wellington Florida Luxury Homes : It's Not All About The Comments- The Secrets Beyond The Comments! A while back I was reading a post that had some very good content. The blogger was very upset that she had worked so hard to put together this post and only had a couple of comments. While it is very exciting to get comments on your blog, there is more to blogging that the comments and there are way more people reading your blog than make comments. Just because you are not getting a lot of comments does (2 comments)
Via Bob Stewart - ActiveRain: Katerina first brought this up to me way back in January. She (and many others, but she was first) offered to help coordinate things so that it was certain we would have the opportunity to have an ActiveRain party gathering. In typical fashion, Jon and I dragged our feet on getting everything set up. Katerina was relentless (bless her heart) in making sure we got everything in order. She succeeded!! Katerina first let the cat out of the bag in her blog on Oct. 23rd. Only she didn't let the whole cat out....... We will be hosting (0 comments)
Via Thea Agnew: Hmmmm, I don't know but it would get alot of attention! Anyone game to stand on the corner with me? Would it be safe to do this? I really don't know about this marketing strategy. When you see someone standing on a corner with a sign you either think they are homeless, a drunk needing money to feed his/her habit or they are church people getting you to honk for Jesus. Nothing wrong with honking for Jesus! I just don't know. You would probably get more viewing doing this than going to walmart or having a billboard. I (0 comments)
Via Brenda Tressler: Just for FUN... if you Voted... leave a comment! You may say who you voted for or anything you feel like saying. I just thought it would be fun to see how many ActiveRain Members voted in this election. They say before & after work will be the busiest time... so if you can go mid day your wait may be shorter. I live in a small town in Tennessee... we never have a wait except to talk. If you voted early... I want to hear from you too.
Via Clark Garrison, "LOAN MODIFICATIONS": J.P. Morgan Chase has announced that they will be actively seeking homeowners who are in need of a Loan Modification! In fact they are going to open 24 regional branches advocating for the needy! This not only is designed to address our nation's greatest crisis, but it will open over 500 new jobs for the company. Chase appears to be the front runner to what appears to be a long road to recovery. They also have announced that they are going to place a freeze on foreclosures during this 90 day period. Did the Tennessee Titans make it to 8-0 ? - 11/02/08 08:29 PM
Did the Tennessee Titans male it to 8-0 ? You bet they did. It was a nail bitter to the end as coach Jeff Fisher tells the official that he wanted to call a time out when the clock hit :04 late in the 4th QTR. Time out is called, Rob Bironas comes out for a game winning field goal. What else could you ask for.... Right. We now the Packers call a time out to ice the kicker..... Now, here we go... the kick is up...... ahhhhhhh... Oh NO !!!! the ball hits the right upright and the kick is (3 comments)
Via Thea Agnew: Well, it is horrifying when you hear of families who get the visit from the Military to inform them that their Spouse has been killed or died while overseas. So was the case last week at Ft. Campbell but it just so happens the Soldier is ALIVE and well! A man dressed in class A's and a man dressed as the clergy showed up to inform a Spouse that her husband was killed in Iraq. She didn't let these two in, which was smart on her part.
