There are a couple area in Clarksville that drivers need to pay close attention to the speed limit as the Clarksville Police Department will be happy to take money from your wallet. Two hot areas for Clarksville Speed Traps are: First is Trenton Rd at Tiny Town Rd. As you Exit from I-24 the speed limit is ONLY 30 MHP and as you cross the bridge, the radar is upon you before you realise it. The Clarksville Police Department sits multiple cars deep at the Walgreens just waiting for you to top the bridge. Another place to be on the look out (3 comments)
Is Title Insurance really necessary? - 08/30/10 12:18 AM
How important is Title Insurance ? It should be purchased on every Real Estate transaction. Check out this post from William. After you read this post, let me know how important you think Title Insurance can be. Via William Feela Realtor 651-674-5999 No. Branch,MN (WHISPERING PINES REALTY): Is title insurance necessary? OH YEA! Being kind of a boring subject I will keep this on the short side. I bought a cabin on the lake. "Do you want title insurance?" I was asked. Being the smart Real Estate Broker that I am, I said "No". I thought I would save the few hundred dollars. (5 comments)
Google Loves Me ! - 08/29/10 11:28 PM
I just received an e-mail from Google and it said that I just won ! What did I win ? Probably nothing at all. But according to the e-mail the Google 11th Anniversary Award Centre in the United Kingdon has informed me that I won an Award of One million Five Hundred Thousand Pounds (GBP1,500,000) in the Google 11 Years Anniversary Awards as organized by the Anniversary Centre of Google Inc., held on Sep 21st, 2009 in London, United Kingdom. Of course I think I will pass on this one. Has anyone else won a huge prize like this from Google (5 comments)
How Much WON’T You Pay To Avoid Foreclosure? - 08/27/10 02:05 AM
Attention Homeowners looking to do a Short Sale. Please take note of Wendy's post below and ask yourself... How Much WON'T You Pay To Avoid Foreclosure. Via Wendy Rulnick "Its Wendy!" Destin Florida Short Sales (Rulnick Realty, Inc.): The other day I had a seller refuse to contribute to the loss on her short sale. Her home was $100,000 upside down, and she had been trying to short sale for two years. She told me she absolutely did not want a foreclosure on her record. During negotiations with Bank of America, the mortgage insurance (MI) company requested the seller pay $3000 to offset some of the $100,000 loss. When (3 comments)
Several weeks ago, when I noticed that there STILL is not a RainCamp scheduled for Atlanta, I signed up for a seminar presented by The Google Academy on "Using Google for Real Estate" and the "2010 Google AdWords/SEO Seminar." How could I go wrong? Today was the day. The entire morning session was spent on Google's G-mail. Of course, our instructor touched on the basics of G-mail, the Google tool bar and a few of Google's unique features (5 comments)
If I Can Research Properties on the Internet, Why Should I Work With An Agent? - 08/26/10 12:10 AM
What a great post from Ann.... Do buyers really need a REALTOR® when looking for a home ? Read below to see why a REALTOR® can be needed when buying a home. Via Ann O'Connell (Real estate agent at Mock Realty): I am a do-it-myselfer. I enjoy the challenge of fixing what's broken on my own, of discovering something new, and of finding a good bargain. So I have to admit I get it when people tell me they think they don't need an agent for buying a house. Between being able to search our MLS online, internet postings about open houses, (3 comments)

Great advice from Elizabeth about calling your insurance company before vacating a Short Sale Home. Via Elizabeth Weintraub, Sacramento Short Sale Agent, Land Park, Sac 916-233-6759 (Lyon Real Estate): It happened again. This time to a different short sale and not in Sacramento. This short sale is in Roseville. High demand neighborhood -- such high demand that I received more than a dozen calls within 24 hours of putting this short sale on the market. Several months later, I'm still receiving phone calls and inquiries. We received short sale approval for an all-cash offer and were headed for closing when a buyer's agent (3 comments)

Cindy reminds us to properly disclose that you are a REALTOR® when posting ads Via Cindy Jones-Northern Virginia Real Estate & Military Relocation Services (RE/MAX Allegiance #1 RE/MAX Company in the World): This past week in addition to studying the MLS looking for rental property for my daughter and her husband we have also been looking at craiglist. A Very Sad Last Tweet - 08/18/10 10:45 PM
Sad story about texting and driving. Via Holly Kirby Weatherwax--Your Realtor® in Reston,VA (Momentum Realty,LLC): If you are a news scanner, like I am, you probably saw that Dr. Frank Ryan (Plastic Surgeon to the stars) was killed on Monday, August 16, 2010 when his car drove over a cliff near his home in Los Angeles. At the time of the first report, the article I read said that Dr. Ryan did not drink or use drugs. It turns out now, however, that he was Tweeting about his dog at the time of the crash (Heidi Montag Plastic Surgeon Frank Ryan Texting Before Fatal Crash). (2 comments)

Via Heath Coker, Real Estate Broker, Cape Cod (http://www.CapeGroup.com & http://www.REindex.com): I had to throw my head back and laugh at this one. WYSIWYG pictures and hilarious showing instructions make this one good for a giggle. The house is in an estate. The contents are strewn throughout, the landscaping hasn't been maintained, and the building needs a BIG hug (TLC). What made me laugh are the showing instructions that are for other agents (4 comments)
