<p>The president signed new legislation to help struggling home owners. For complete details, check out the <a href="http://www.hud.gov/fha/home080730.cfm" target="_blank">Fact Sheet</a> Under this program which was implemented on October 1, 2008 certain borrowers facing difficulty with their mortgage will be eligible to refinance into FHA-insured mortgages they can afford.</p>
<p><strong>Homeowners May Already Be Eligible For Assistance</strong></p>
<p>Families should not wait to seek mortgage relief. Right now, homeowners can determine if they are already eligible for mortgage assistance through <em>FHASecure</em>, FHA's existing refinancing program. They can obtain information through any of the following options:</p>

<li>Contact a local, HUD-approved housing counseling agency at HUD.gov; </li>
<li>Contact the HOPE NOW Alliance at (888) 995-HOPE; or </li>
<li>Call FHA at (800) CALL-FHA. </li>

<p>HOPE NOW is a great program and Borrowers must also meet the following eligibility criteria:</p>

<li>Their mortgage must have originated on or before January 1, 2008; </li>

<p>Today was a very exciting day.. As you may have seen my previous post about having issues getting a Jr Lein holder to give a release to complete a short sale. Well about 1 1/2 weeks ago I go them to finally issue an approval letter and today we CLOSED on this file with only 2 days to spare !</p>
<p>Persistance does pay off.</p>
<p>As I have always said... there is NOTHING short on a short sale except for the lenders payoff.... We have been trying to close on this deal since May.</p>

<h2>In some parts of the state more than 50% of the gas stations are out ouf fuel. We have been fortunate here in Clarksville, Tennessee. I just can't seen to figure of a ryme or reason for the differneces in fuel prices. Tonight I had to make the venture to get fuel and of course Murphy's USA / Wal*Mart has the cheapest fuel on Wilma Rudolph Blvd at $3.88.... well with the Wal*Mart gift card it's only $3.85 while just across the street at Shell, the price was $4.19 and just up the street the other Shell was out of fuel. As I went to take the picture the fuel truck just arrived.</h2>
<h2>Again... Murphy's USA / Wal*Mart has the best fuel prices on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. Just across the Kentucky State line is another story... See below.</h2>

<p>On the news tonight, they are saying that 50% of the gas stations are out of gas and the lines are long for the other 50% that have fule. The good new is that the pipe lines are flowing once again into middle Tennessee and they say things should get better. I noticed the fuel prices all around the Wal-Mart on Wilma Rudolph Blvd here in Clarksville,Tennesee. The Super Unleaded / Premium was going for $4.53 per Gal. just across the street.</h2>
<h2>When I get to the pump at Murphy USA / Wal-Mart, I noticed that all 3 grades of fuel were priced at $3.99 Gal. Now keep in mind with the gas card you get a .03 discount.</h2>
<h2>Note: the only sign on the pump was for Prem ( Super Unleaded ) as they were out of Unleaded and Unleaded Plus.</h2>
<h2>Now this is what I call a GIFT from Wal-Mart ! Only if the other companies would do the same. So if you are in Clarksville and need fuel.... Race to Wal-Mart on Wilma Rudolph Blvd and filler up before the price goes back up !</h2>
<p>What I still have trouble understanding is why there is still such a price difference between different companies such as the pictures below. It is stunning at the differences in price. Both of these are near Wal-Mart. Shell is just across the street and the BP is maybe 1/4 mile.</p>

<h2>Today I had to make a trip to Murfreesboro Tennessee. With the rising cost of gas, I made a point to compair the prices of gas on my way back to Clarksville. What I seen for the most part was a steady price average of $3.99 in most locations. Now there were some questions on the thoughts of price gouging.</h2>
<h2> See the photos below. What is the most interesting is the difference in the prices here and all 3 are with in sight of each other. The Kwik Sak and the Shell can both be seen from the BP Station.</h2>
<h2>At the Shell, you can buy Regular for $3.71 while the Kwik Sak is $4.49 ??? Your thoughts ?</h2>
<h2>I also have pictures along I-24 today from Exit 1 to 40... What is amazing is the same company has a variety of pricing along the way.</h2>
